Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the lining tissue of joints, causing chronic joint inflammation. While it primarily affects joints, it can also cause inflammation of organs, such as the lungs, eyes, skin, and heart.
About Osteoarthritis-
A type of joint disease that normally affects the large weight-bearing joints of the knees, hips and spine although smaller joints such as those in the fingers and neck may also be affected. It is not a normal part of ageing but is much more common in the elderly.
In osetoarthritis the cartilage loses its elasticity and becomes stiffer.
The changes negatively impact on the ability of cartilage to act as a shock absorber which in turn can decrease functionality of the joint.
