Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Why is my 50 inch sanyo plasma power up with no picture then shutting down after a few seconds
A component in the TV is failing and is not receiving correct voltage, which is causing the TV to enter " protection mode" and shut off. Could be any part of the TV but I would start with the power supply and go from there.

For more info post the model number of your TV
