Am thinking of buying 2nd hand overlocker - interested in model 680DE but know nothing about them. Are they good and easy performers?

I also have a Huskylock SL 3003 which I have not used for many years. As I usually keep the manual with the particular item, and there was no manual with the machine, I presume there was not a manual for this machine. (I also found Husqvarna useless!)
There is a website which copies manuals for sewing machines and I have asked them if they can find the manual for the SL 3003. As yet I have not had a reply. I only requested this on 1st September, so am still waiting hopefully. You may also wish to use this website: www.sewing-machine-manual.com or relics.com
Also, on the front of the machine is a slide with a thumb indent. Push this to the right and it will release. On the machine inside this door are the instructions for threading.
Good luck

the eyes of the needles must line up with lower looper as they pass (timing) the distance between the needle and the looper must be exact. No distance between them and not touching. yep, that tight. they shouldnt move the needle even the slightest amount as they pass each other, yet no space between them.

I found this manual - http://www.sewingmachinemanual.net/
However, if you google 'how to thread a serger indi" you will get a video that will give you the basics.
Before you start, raise the antenna to it's highest position and open the tensions by setting to zero, or if your serger has auto tension, raise the presser foot to open the tensions.
