When the amp goes into protect mode, it is more often than not a problem with the speakers or the speaker wiring.

SOURCE: my pyle amp keeps going into protection when i turn my music up and play it for a min

The most common cause is an unsafe load/speaker impedance. If you have the speakers wired correctly, you may have a short in the wiring. If the wiring is OK, the amp is likely defective

My Pyle Pt694bt is in protect mode how do I reset it or where do I get it repaired?

Hi,

you can use the instructions in the product manual to help factory reset your device. Otherwise, you can take it to a store like Geeksquad/Bestbuy in order to get the device factory reset on your behalf. But you might want to call ahead first to ensure that location has access to the manual in order to perform the factory reset.

Thank you.

Pyle 2210 chopper series keeps turning red when

you likely have too much of a speaker load running off the amp, causing the amp to draw more power, and, thus, overheat.

Amp on but no sound

Double check all of your fuses and make sure they are the corrects AMP. Other than that it sounds like the speaker wires came loose somewhere along the line. check on the subs and behind the deck. hope this helps

I have a pyle 1000w 2 channel amp.just got it last week. last night driving home, stops working. protection light stays on. when i checked it, it was hot. so im assuming the thermal protection kicked on....

keep it in a vented area dont ever cover it position it were nothing will block it.it sounds like it does not have a fan so they sell those fans that you sit your laptop on.they cost about 10 bucks and wire it to your amp remote and ground inputs and it should help it stay cool....

The protection modes in these units ****. Most new units have them. What I do is turn down settings on deck and turn up amp as much as possible. Then the protection won't turn on because you won't have to turn it up as high.

Amp goes into protect mode after volume is turned up

Not enough juice, check the power and ground connections, another possibility is to have dc in the input, try to use in line filter available from radio shack to cut the dc, also test the with one speaker at the time, you could have a bad speaker (shorted) too.

Protection light stays on no output

i have the same amp and have that same issue before. yes you are correct that if you take off the RCA cables on the input there will be no light. either you have plug the remote line on the 12v or a grounded sub. it should be 12v/remote/ground from the corner. good thing im just fixing my sub earlier. it is no problem if you have hooked the remote line on the 12v, it is the same supposed to be. to check if your amp is working, short the 12v/ and the remote line and play your stereo and see if your sub is working. by the way, what sub are you using? i just blew my sub and need a new one.
