Power went out and is now on. Everything in the house works but the my Honeywell TH9421C1004. I have no batteries (that I can see). Looks like it plugs directly into the wall.

it should take a battery and it has wires coming from the unit for power as well the stat splits open from the wall leaving some of it mounted on the wall the batteries are in the part that pulls off the wall and the wires are on the part that stays on the wall the power wire is red on r terminal

The transformer may have been fried. test this with a line testing kit like you would use to trace a line in a car. If the power is not going threw the transformer then you can just replace it of by a new door bell. they are fairly in expensive.

Had similar experience. Display off and no fan power. I replaced the unit after an hour and the display came on. I guess a pin needed to be reset (cleaned by wiping against contact). Hope it stays on.
