Maybe it is corrupted, Download again. Sometimes you need some application to be installed on the PC to open the file. ZIP or RAR files needs WinRAR. What type of file you downloaded.

If the eReader has a SD Card slot and your laptop has a SD card slot , download the file to a SD card and transfer the file to the eReader via the SD card.

Either you can copy the .sis file directly to your phone via USB or Bluetooth and access it from the file manager to install it. download a jadmaker program,then make a jad & install and put it near the jar file.then brwose jad file in the pc suite & install it.

download wm5.0 games, you have to download .cab or .exe files for installing on pdal.
you can install cab file from file explorer or you can install exe file for pc using active sync

You might want to check and see how much hard drive space you have, since these types of downloads use a temp file then they transfer that temp file into your download directory. That is because on your computer there is no application associated with the downloaded file.

for example if you download a compressed file (.rar) you will need an unzip software (winrar) to open the file.

If you download a word file (.doc) you will need microsoft word installed.

Find out what kind of file you are downloading, then locate and install the right application to open the file.
