How do I IInstal headset and microphone labtec

Most desktops do not have a built in microphone, with exceptions of the ones that come built into the monitor. You find that most sound cards have an input jack to connect a microphone. To be sure if your computer does or does not, the make and model of your computer would be needed to check the computer specifications.

Check the Device Manager to see if it is discovered and connected with drivers installed. Otherwise, install the disk that came with the microphone to install the drivers. If it didn't come with the disk, reboot your computer with the microphone connected to the computer - upon boot, the computer should prompt and let you know a new device has been found and will install the drivers automatically.

Make sure the mic is selected on the record tab in your sound properties (Vista). Questions--please reply

Vista always has sound card problem.
I had too because with my headset (microphone) It works through your sound card
but it works well now after I installed it as below

depends on the software you are using, some progs like Skype have settings to change as well as ones in audio control panel

check your volume control if the microphone is mute.click also the advance tab and check the box containing 1 microphone +20 db boost.

try to adjust the line in volume when you double click the volume icon, it may be muted

Plug the USB into the computer USB slot

-> make sure mic is connected correctly in the correct slot to the CPU
->go to control panel-> sound and audio and there is seperate tab for "microphone"-> have th volume to be full
-> you can test whether the mic works there itself.

i dont know this mic ,is it usb or 3.5mm?
