I would recommend searching the brand and model of your laptop. If you need to find the fan, search 'Brand Model # fan' on Google (or your preferred parts site. For example 'Dell Vostro 1720 fan'. If you need the physical replacement instructions, then add 'replacement' or 'disassembly', such as 'Dell Vostro 1720 fan replacement' or 'Dell Vostro 1720 disassembly'. (I used a sample laptop model for these instructions; replace 'Dell Vostro 1720' with your laptop model.)

I need a replacement motor for a NuTone Model LS-80SE exhaust fan but can't find one.

Home depot usually has a good selection of replacement fans. They usually are a fan on a mounting plate, not just the fan motor itself. Sometimes you have to purchase the entire fan unit just to get the fan motor plate inside for a replacement part.

Replace old attic fan motor, or replace the entire fan assembly.

I am assuming you replaced your fan by now. However in the future call Gibraltar Industries, they are the ones who manufacture all fans and motors. My attic motor fan also died and I first called Ventamatic and they wanted $65 for a new motor. I then called Gibraltar and they shipped one our for free. 800-527-1924.

The fan is very noisy

The post begs for the obvious answer: Replace the fan.

Now to be more polite, first you need to identify the failing fan and replace it.

A desktop system can have several fans. Case/processor fan (you can test to see if this is the effected fan by unplugging it for a minute or two from the motherboard (a couple minutes will not hurt the system).

The video card may have a fan on it (Often on the underside if a mini tower) Some video card fans can be easily removed but finding replacement fans can be a challenge. Normally if a video card fan fails, replace the video card.

Most often, the failing fan is in the power supply unit or PSU. If you are handy with electrical components, you can remove the PSU, remove the fan and replace it. If you are not handy electrically, replace the PSU.

Higher end system may have card cage fans to help cool hard drive/expansion cards and others have fans specifically to coll hard drives.

Most manufacturers have spare parts where you can buy parts or you can use google to find specific replacement parts or fan suppliers.
