Why will the ice not dump? I replaced the ice maker because it was not turning to dump the ice after the ice was frozen. Same problem with new ice maker. Reset button causes the ice tray to turn, dump...

Your ice maker is controlled by the main board. The ice maker has a sensor that tells the board what the mold temperature is. The first step is to make sure your ice maker is turned on. There is an "on/off" setting on your control panel. Look very closely at the glass depicted. Some models show ice cubes in a glass, others have the words ice off. It's difficult to tell without looking close. If your ice is on, a Samsung qualified tech should be called to check connections, and the board.

Not making ice

There are several possibilities for this and the dual water control valve is one of the possible problems. Try pouring tap water into ice maker tray if no cubes are present. Allow it to freeze and if the cubes drop then the water control valve part Click Here=> 2188542-1 Then you have a possibility that the ice maker thermostat is at fault item number 27 in photo here=> 627985 Ice Maker Thermostat Sometimes the problem is located inside ice maker and buying new makes it more worth the cost than the cost of replacement parts. This is the Replacement and parts here=> 4317943 Complete Ice Maker

ICE MAKER WON'T WORK

Most likely the water control valve is the reason that your ice maker will not work. I would like you to fill the ice maker with tap water and if it dumps and does not refill then the water control valve will need replaced. tem # 153540 Water Control Valve If it is the ice maker I will help you find the replacement, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Model rs2534ww side-by-side Samsung frig. After power interuption to the home, interior lights work, but digital display is blank and compressor won't run. How do I fix this?

Regarding Samsung refrigerator model rs2534ww/xaa repair: Basic trouble-shooting from Fixya was helpful, but solution required service call from repairman. (Very few repairmen work on Samsung at this time.) We thought problem was the digital controller, but turned-out was ice maker (!). Repairman explained Samsung has wierd control design that is based upon ice maker sensor. Sensor alone cannot be replaced, required entire icer, which he had in the truck. Icer cost $105 retail ($86 online), but controller would have been $161 retail (couldn't find controller online). Hint: if control panel is "dead" except for (only) the upper (horizontal) LED segment of the right-most refrigerator temperature digit, the problem might be your ice-maker. If you find the ice maker online and can install it yourself, you can save at least $130.

Kenmore Coldspot Model 57577791 S/S Ice Maker Problem

Probably the solenoid (electric valve that opens when the ice maker calls for water ) is leaking and has to be replaced (it's a very common problem ) . To be sure the solenoid is the problem , turn off the ice maker by raising the arm up , and check after a few hours if is any water in the ice tray , if yes the solenoid is leaking , if not , the ice maker control board has a problem , and to replaced it will cost you almost as a new ice maker.

Ice maker over fill, water keeps running

If water keeps running to the ice maker all the time even when it doesn't call for water , the water valve for the ice maker is leaking(located in the back of the refrigerator, bottoom right),but if overflow only when it calls for water(no more than 7 seconds) the problem is in the ice maker control board, you can replace it but it will cost almost as a new ice maker.
