Drain pump runs constantly

I have a electrolux A-120. the drain pump runs constantly, won´t stop even when there´s no water. the drain pipes are fine, the power is fine, no dirt in the way. when i turn it off and put water in and turn it on again it drains just fine, but drains constantly.
yesterday the machine was all fine, but when it was in the middle of the program the power went out because of the vaccumcleaner. after that the dishwasher just drains, no matter how i turn it on.

How to fix Miele W1918 washer drain pump always running unless machine is turned off or unplugged

Does the pump run before any water enters the washer? If so, then you have a problem with the control board or a problem with the pump control.

The more common issue is a siphon. This starts when the water going into the machine gets higher than the end of the discharge hose in your stand pipe or laundry sink. Fixing a siphon is easy - lift the end of the drain hose so that it is higher than the highest water level of the washer. You may need to lengthen the stand pipe. (The maximum height of the stand pipe can be15'; that's maximum height that the pump can push the water.) If you are using a floor drain, then the anti-siphon/air gap system is damaged.

I hope this helps. There are parts available for the Miele W1918 online. You need to enter the serial number of the washer to get the right pump or control board.

I have a top laoder whirlpool8564990 it don´t spin well it leaves my clothes soaked and it goes to spinning cycle yet it don´t spin

From the information you have supplied, I suspect that the machine is not draining the water away,
1] Check that the drain pump is working (it would be easier to hear it running, before the machine starts the spin cycle, or if your machine has a "drain down" feature)
2] If the pump is running, stop the machine and unplug it from the mains power. Remove the machine drain tube from the point where it is plumbed into the household waste pipe, and lay it down into a bucket, or large pan and allow the water to drain down [ you should expect to get up to 2 gallons (10 Litres) of water from the machine]
Allow the water to drain down completely by holding the drain hose as low as possible into the bucket.
3] once the water has drained completely, remove the drain hose from the pump and check that the drain hose is not blocked.
4] If the hose was clear, and the pump was running (in tests [1] & [2] ), it will be necessary to check that the drain pump, and the main hose from the tub to the pump are clear of obstructions.
Remove any foreign objects, and re-assemble the hoses to the pump to the machine, and the drain hose to the domestic plumbing.

Plug the machine into the mains power, and and set the machine to run on the "last rinse" and "spin" cycles and test to see if the problem has been rectified.

I hope this helps cure your problem.

Drain pump running as in flood protect mode even with door open, At first I thought the float was sticking due to sludge deposit.

The main controller and circuit board may have a short. Switches take their instructions from the main board and if a power surge or power outage occurs, one or more diodes, resistors or capacitors are faulty.

Dishwasher wont fill up with water

When you start the dishwasher you have probably noticed that it first drains water and is very important to hear that drain pump running all the time or stops after a while? Why?
If the drain pump runs constantly then the fault is in the phase of "drain water" or is activated anti-flood system. Reset point of pressostat is not reached after max. 120secs. Programme stop and can be continued after error remedy by pressing the programme key.

If the pump is running for a while and then stops, then the fault is in phase "fill up water". Switchpoint of pressostat is not reached
after max. 60 secs.

Usually built-in dishwashers has anti-flood system that responds in the event of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Such a case, find and repair water leaks.

My Electrolux Washing machine wont drain water end of program. I cleaned filters and checked drain pipe under the sink and no water coming in it.I blew some air in the pipe which does go thru fine Kindly...

There may be a hidden blockage. Try putting a garden hose into the outlet pipe, tightly gripping the joining point of the hoses and turning on the water briefly. This can sometimes clear things.
Check also that when the machine is set to the "Drain" position that you can hear the whirr of the drain pump motor. If you can, then the electrics are intact and the pump impelllor inside the pump may have come loose on its shaft or be jammed with a small foreign object. It would be necessary then to remove the pump and dismantle it, or just replace it with a new one.
As always I warn non-technical people to beware of attempting repairs. Not because they may not be mechanically apt...........it is more about them not being used to the Strict Self Safety Disciplines that experienced servicing personnel have in place that protect them from possible injury or even electrocution.
It is simply not worth risking life and limb by trying to avoid the cost of a professional service call after all a life is surely worth much more than that.
Importantly ALWAYS unplug any appliance from the power point before doing anything !!

Non-stop draining at whatever cycle selection

Is your drain pump constantly running? If it isn't, check the standpipe (drain pipe) and make sure you don't have your drain hose shoved down in the pipe too far or the top sealed off. The stand pipe needs an air gap to properly drain, or it can siphon water from the wash tub. Symptom: Washer continually tries to fill or slow fills, but water won't stay in wash tub. Double check your drain line to be sure. It could be a simple fix.
