ok here goes.... #1 reguarding facebook icon.. Try right clicking on icon and choose file location and write down or remember specificly "the entire path." then, press ok to return to icon. right click again and choose properties/shortcut and on this page be sure the "target" and file location are the same. If not, change the target to match the location. Apply & OK.
#2 Click to open the IE. go to the exact web page you wish to be your default page. click tools/internet options/ and on the HOME PAGE box @ top, click the USE CURRENT button. apply & OK to close. That should do it. But before i close, I must add one thing.. By what you are describing, you may very well have some kind of virus. Please make sure you are running a Virus Protection Program regularly. You may also want to download and install a Great Supplemental Program named "Malwarebytes". It will scan and clean your system if what Im suspecting is true.. GREAT LUCK!! Lucky4lynn2 :)
SOURCE: can not log in to facebook on laptop but can on Kindle
Go to http://www.facebook.com
If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the little gear icon in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."
If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.
