Check the manufacture. If you didn't have it too long take it back to T...R...US and go elsewhere and by a good scope.

SOURCE: How to use telescope at night?

Many people have the same problem-- with these small telescopes you are stuck with seeing only the moon, and several other planets, and maybe a few bright star clusters.

These are all TINY objects (except for the moon).... when you look through the telescope you are looking at a section of sky about the size of your fingertip held at arms length-- the scope must be pointed DIRECTLY at the object. Practice on the moon first-- and then try to find Saturn which is up in the sky right now-- it looks like a dim (slightly yellow) star.

We have an Edu Science telescope from ToysRUs with a price tag of $69.99 that lists numbers 10050 and 120804. We took it out to assemble it and can't find a manual. When you look out the lense, it is

You can only use the eyepiece marked 20mm. This is a toy not a scope and you will only hate astronomy if you try to use it. The tripod is unstable and the lenses are plastic. Send it back and get a quality scope from Meade, Celestron or Orion. Orion makes a tabletop Dob (only 76mm aperture) for about $60 that is much better quality.

You will need to experiment replacing the lens in various configurations to see what works.

Next time NEVER disassemble an eyepiece or a telescope lens. Only the outside surfaces ever need cleaning.

Any photo tripod would work if you can attach the tube. Toys R us do not provide any instruction manual, and they do not sell parts.

We receive the most complaints on this brand. It is really a TOY telescope. Sorry.

I have a 90x Land & Sky telescope and the 20mm eyepiece has disappeared. Is it possible to get a replacement?

Yes -- eyepieces come in 3 sizes .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes. Measure the hole in the focuser and buy the correct size.

Where can i get the instructions for the 240 power 60mm refractor telescope?

You cannot get a manual for that small telescope being sold by Toys R Us.

The manual would only have assembly instructions it will NOT tell you how to use the scope to see objects in the night sky.

525 telescope but no instructions

No one will have a manual for this telescope, However here is a picture:
http://www.amazon.com/Elenco-Astrolon-525x-Refractor-Telescope/dp/B0019MYVMQ

This is a very simple refractor on an alt az mount. Sure wish you had NOT bought this "department store" telescope. It will be shaky and has a very small aperture. Read my TIPS on my profile page to find out how to improve a department store telescope.

I just purchased an edu science 102mm telecope. I

The end with the focuser. Then put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. I believe this model is a REFLECTOR, if it is there is a mirror in the bottom of the scope.

REFRACTORS have a lens in the front of the scope.

See this:

Then read my Frequently Asked Questions TIP on my profile page. The picture you selected shows a REFRACTOR telescope.

Reflector telescope 525 power bought at a yard sale with no instructions. Is there a manual or any information on how to use this product? I'm not even sure all the pieces are here.

You will not find a manual for that telescope. However Meade maintains a web site for their telescope manuals. Look under REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope. They all go together in a similar fashion.

Edu science reflector telescope instructions 600x

This is a small refractor telescope-- they pretty much all work the same-- BUT don't expect to get more than 100 power out of the scope. Yes I know the box said 600 power but it's a lie. In my 8 inch telescope I rarely get above 250 power and my scope is many times larger than the one you have--

Now put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope-- the LARGER the number the LOWER the magnification. During the day time practice focusing on a distant object --- AND line-up the small finder scope on top with the main telescope tube. Look at the top of a distant light or church steple, or telephone pole. Without moving the telescope adjust the small finder scope by loosening and tightening the screws around the tube holding the finder scope-- put the crosshairs on the same spot as the main telescope.

Now you can use the small finder to locate objects in the sky-- the moon should be your first night time target.
