If it's only a battery cover just use cardboard and tape to cover it

SOURCE: baby swing......graco doesn't swing

We`ve recently bought a 6 speed swing second hand and had exactly the same problem ie it only worked when the swing was empty. We found that if you give the swing a nudge before switching on the motor this sometimes works as the motor only has to keep the swing moving.

If this doesn`t work, strip the motor down and check the contacts. A poor contact will mean that you get less power from the motor. Be careful not to break the connectors on the motor as you take it off as they are fragile. If any contacts appear weak, then they should be carefully soldered to make a strong contact.

Then carefully reassemble the motor on the swing and give it a push to get it going before switching on the motor.

Hope this helps someone reading this.

Ian and Ellie.

My Graco baby swing isnt swinging, brand new batteries in it, its brand new..

Because it is brand new it isn't a good idea to do any tinkering or the warranty will be invalid.

I suggest as a first step to read the instruction leaflet thoroughly for any helpful troubleshooting guide or in case you missed an important instruction.

It is wise not to assume the batteries are ok even though they are new. Batteries aren't always treated well by those who transport or sell them and sometimes a battery will be rendered useless by dropping it or handling it roughly.
I suggest you clean the battery contacts with a solvent in case a wax corrosion inhibitor had been applied and then use a battery tester or another battery-powered appliance to ensure each cell is working correctly.

If each cell tests good refit them ensuring each is fitted the correct way around and after fitting the battery cover switch the swing on. If it still doesn't work find the seller's receipt and return it to the shop for exchange under the guarantee.

I strongly suggest you attend to these things when your baby is sleeping and you are properly awake and without an audience or distractions or trying to watch tv at the same time.

Good luck!

I need battery pack and battery compartment cover

Go to the companies website. Many companies like Fisher Price offer replacement parts quite reasonably. Just put in the model number or name in the search bar on the companies site. If the parts are discontinued, the best place to look for replacements is ebay or craigslist. Best Wishes!

I lost two screws and the manual to the swing

If you have one of the screws that you are missing, you can take it to any hardware store to show them the size and it' should be pretty easy to buy replacements.
If that is not an option, you can contact Disney and as well as the manual, you can ask for the screw size.

Looking for the screws for fisher price link a doo swing

This is still a current model, so try either eBay or Google shopping. I have just run a search and I can see a few shops in the UK selling it, so I know it is still available.
