How to use the upholstery attachment for hoover max extra 60 carpet cleaner?

Hi Julie! If the cleaner is not picking up the dirty water this usually means something is not sealed off properly. Try these steps below to restore suction to your cleaner.

1. Remove the clean water tank. Recline the handle & let the handle lie down on the floor.
2. Remove the dirty water tank. Check that the dirty water tank cap is on the dirty water tank and tightened closed.
3. Clear the filter screen of any hair or debris.
4. Remove the nozzle. Clean the nozzle of any hair or debris.
5. Located on the machine behind the nozzle is a 2nd filter screen. Clean it of any hair or debris.
6. Replace the nozzle.
7. Replace the dirty water tank. Press down on all sides so that it is flush to the cleaner base.

I'm afraid you burned a coil in the motor. And accidentally it stopped while that coil is between the contact brushes. Or one of the (or both) brushes are worn.

Hi! We made the nozzle assembly easily removable for the Max Extract Dual V. Follow these quick steps.

Remove both tanks from the cleaner.

Lay the cleaner on its back while in the upright position.

Lift up rear edge of nozzle. Slide nozzle up and remove from cleaner.

Hey there! The brushes can be removed for cleaning. With the handle in the upright position, tilt the cleaner back so that handle rests on floor. Grab brush assembly and pull firmly. Remove hair and debris from brushes. You may clean the brushes under running water. If for some reason you are not able to clean the brushes, replacement brushes can be ordered by following the link below.

Replace the part. This might mean buying a whole new water tank. You can order most parts online. Have your make and model ready. Find a site by google. ie if it's a hoover enter, "hoover parts".

did you make sure the dirty water tank is cleaned out and the cap is on?also did u check the clear kinda hour glass shaped thing in the front where the water sucks up at to make sure there is no blockadge?

One of your two water Inlet valves (either Hot or Cold) is not working and need to be replaced

The beater brush is binding in a locked up state. Probably by hair and carpet fibers. Dis-assemble and clean out any debris and change the belt/

It's the level or the switch is stuck
