Can you click on f12 before it goes to boot password?
The F12 Boot Menu allows you to choose which device that you would like to boot the computer's Operating System from by pressing the F12 key during the computer's Power On Self Test, or POST process. Some notebook and netbook models have the F12 Boot Menu disabled by default.

Note: Not all Acer notebooks or netbooks have the F12 Boot Menu feature. Computers that do not have the F12 Boot Menu feature will not be able to enable the feature within the BIOS. I hope this works for you if not, then the problem is obviously not the boot menu. Go to Acer support for more help

remove the ram at the rear of the unit in the little compartment and look for two metal pieces ( bars maybe) take a paper clip and short out these then replace the ram close the door and reboot.

sounds like bios is locked and you cannot log in. theirs a battery called bios battery that you can pop out and it will allow you access but that's completely up to you. gte the product manual form their web poage and go to support then enter model info and download a manual. then lookl for the bios battery. that will remove the lockout code.

Did you buy that computer from a store? If you buy if fromm a friend or someone else. he/she might have put a bios password to protect the computer. Usually these passwords are 4 characters long.
3. In between the video chip and the keyboard connector you will see a set of 4 dip switches (circled in yellow in the picture above).
4. Move switch 1 ,up.
5. Re-start the laptop and press Ctrl+F2 simultaneously as it boots, this will get you into the BIOS.
6. Set the BIOS password to disable and press Enter.
7. The machine will ask you if you want to Exit and Save the Changes, click Yes.

It will then boot into Windows. Re-start the computer and if there is
no password then you can proceed to step 9. If there is still a BIOS
password then you must repeat steps 1-8 until the password is removed.
9. Back at the mainboard, push the switch at the number 1 slot down, back to its original position.
10. Re-start the laptop.
11. The Acer BIOS password should now have been removed and the machine should now boot straight into Windows.
