Why won't readout indicate when coins are inserted?

Switched out coin drop component with another machine and it still won't work. Does that mean the entire control panel has to be replaced?

I have a coin operated timer control box for my washing machine. Someone turned the power off at the wall and now it won't work

Please confirm if the power was restored. Now If so then you can turn it off once again and wait for few minutes before switching it ON. Tap on sides while the machine if switched off to confirm if any coin was lodged while the power was off. If this is struck within you will need to remove the covers to clear the mechanism and reset the sensor action. Also check if there is power supply within the unit for the functioning of the control board.

Money fell under the spinner

I take it that you mean that there is monetary coin or coins stuck between the Wash Bowl and the Spin Bowl. If the diameter of the coinage is greater than the Wash Bowl outlet, the coins will never find their way to the emptying pump of the machine, and will continue to rattle around inside. However any of the coins can enter the Wash Bowl outlet this could result in the water pump becoming jammed or damaged requiring replacement. I have solved this problem by removing the top of the machine (HOB) above the washbowl then completely removing the shroud over the Wash Bowl...then replacing the top of the machine firmly. By then turning the machine upside down, the coins will drop out and can be retrieved. Finish the job by returning the machine to the upright position.

Coin completely jammed in vertical coin drop mechanism

unplug the machine, open the top of the coin op i use a stubby 5/16 nut driver, you have to remove the rod and it's a 5/16 inch rod, turn it counter clockwise to remove, this rod holds the unit in place, when you have the rod out then you can grab the front where you put the money in and lift it up and out,it sits in a couple of slotted holes

I just bought a house that included in the sale a Maytag Coin-op Washer and Dryer. The coin box on each contains a key. How do I disable the need for putting coins in the washer and dryer so that I can...

  1. purchase a coin insert and blank the slot that coins fit in, then the slide will slid in without coins, just acting like a button, if you examine the slide you wil notice that there are plastic inserts in unused coin slots, any maytag commercial dealer has them.
  2. replace coin slide with 'free operation' converter, which is just a button plate that pushes the striker on the timer switch
  3. take top cover off and just push the striker on the timer, (this is NOT) a recommended option, 220v is enough to spoil you whole day)
