Key board does not respond , but mouse works exellent.
when I press the red switch, the green light blinks and goes out.
Please help! I am using a wired key board to type this.
I had this problem for a very long time as well. Turns out this is an encryption issue. It's off-balance. You need to reset the encryption, and here's how:
On the LEFT side of your wireless keyboard press and hold Ctrl+Alt, and press F12, then release all three buttons. Now push the Connect button on your Wireless Receiver, then the connect button on your wireless keyboard. Now press Esc. Try it. See if it works. It did for me.
Ehi mage102, you just saved me hours of pain :-)
Thank you so much!
Here please check if its USB KEyboard or PS/2 Keyboard. If its USB keyboard try connecting the keyboard to another working USB port.
Otherwise; Try connecting the Keyboard to another comp and check if it works. If another comp is not available, then turn on the computer and enter the BIOS screen (hit Del, F2 key to enter BIOS key). If keyboard works it will enter BIOS screen.
Note: If keyboard failed then on boot screen there will be a Keyboard error and comp will not boot.
If computer boots in BIOS screen then its not Keyboard issue. THe issue could be related to virus. Try working on On-Screen Keyboard. To enable ON-Screen keyboard, using mouse click on Start button and click on RUN. In Run box type OSK. As you cannot type OSK, using mouse, copy the characters OSK one by one from any word file and paste in the Run Box.
If its virus then scan for virus and this issue can be fixed if remote access is taken.
Ctrl+alt +f12 worked for me too . Thank you so much
Thank you Mage1028. That is brilliant!! The Ctrl+Alt+F12+Connect Wireless Receiver+Connect Button on Wireless Keyboard really did the trick!! Thank you.
Thank you Mage1028. That is brilliant!! The Ctrl+Alt+F12+Connect Wireless Receiver+Connect Wireless Keyboard did the trick!! I was losing hope after replacing the wireless keyboard with new batteries and still nothing worked so I made up my mind to just replace it with another keyboard and as luck would have it, try to Google it and check to see if I can find one last answer or solution to this problem. Sure enough I stumbled on this website and I read Mage1028 solution and Voila!! Wireless keyboard is working like a charm again. Thank you!!!
This actually the correct steps:

my wireless keyboard dosn't work
I have the same problem, mouse and remote is connecting fine, but the keyboard just don't want to connect.... tried it on two different computers, changed the batteries... nothing seems to work... This should not be a driver issue, the keyboard has worked fine without drivers before...
Regards, Tean
i had the same problem, i re-installed the software i pulled the usb wireless reciever out and put it in the same port, but what made it work was putting it in a different port. when it was in the other port, every one of the top silver buttons worked and the scroll button worked, but the keys i actually needed didnt work
mouse works great. keyboard has quit. No lights, changed batteries. still no response
my keyboard letters and numbers will not work. the three lights are flashing. how can i solve this problem?
checked all conections tturned keyboard upside down. shut down, start up
my mouse works fine, but they keyboard only somewhat connects. i can hot f1-f4 to get the programs up and the zoom and music buttons work. but the buttons i really need do not work, all the keys with letters and numbers. when i hit the [F] mode key the light on the reviser turns on and off, but when i try the same for the caps and num lock keys nothing happens. i checked the drivers and under the mouse it shows the usb mouse and ps/2. when i checked the keyborard the on drivers it only shows the ps/2.
my letters and numbers suddenly stopped working. My other keys work fine (so connection seems to be ok). Not sure what to do...reinstalled setpoint program and updates - still no luck. pulled out of usb and put back - still no luck. wonder if there is a keystroke combination that just shuts down the letters/numbers...
My keyboard isn't responding at all either. When I go to check the keyboard setting on the control panel it doesn't detect any hardware at all. yet when I move my mouse around and type the cursor freezes until I stop pressing keys. I think it may be getting the signal from the wireless mouse receiver but I still can't find out what's wrong with the keyboard.
Worked few days and suddenly i was unable to loginto wondows cause the kayboard didnt work xD i connected my old one. Theres few really strange things: I got 4 usb and after changing the plug the s510 started workin properly, but after a restart it didnt work again and changing to the prewious usb plug didnt help. Another weird thing is that even now as i have both (my old and s510) connected the s510 stol/play/next/prev/home/function etc buttons work - but only these ones. Please help. Thanx. Alan.
My wireless keyboard can't connect after I changed the receiver's usb port.
I HAVE A LOGITECH WIRELESS KEYBOARD THAT SUDDENLY QUIT WORKING. THE CORDLESS MOUSE WORKS FINE. ANY HELP?
With this keyboard - Logitech S510 - be sure to re-establish the connection with the wireless receiver. You do that by holding down the soft black button on the receiver for a few seconds, release and very quickly pressing the red soft button on the back of the S510 keyboard. Worked for me.
Recognize that if you're using a Mac, which I am, that there were never drives written for the Mac. So you're relying on the USB only. There are no software conflicts I know of.
