SOURCE: Fan and light not working where is fuse box?
Hi - I have a neff extractor fan and have the same problem. The light and fan have both stopped working. Does anybody know where I can find the fuse as I suspect that this may be the problem too?

One way to check is to track down a schematic of the parts. That will often give you a good idea of there the part attaches and how.

Hi rags116,
I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your problem is: You have a neff extractor fan which hasstopped working. The light and fan have both stopped working. Do I know where you can find the fuse as you suspect that this may be the problem. If I don't think it is the fuse would I be able to suggest anything else.
The type is D-AY25-8 If there is another number that is more helpful please let you know. thanks Again your Neff Series 2 extractor has stopped working and you want to save yourself buying a new one!! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Since both light and fan require low voltage it sounds like a bad transformer. It will be mounted next to the motor. Make sure you turn off the power first.

Hi Mertl, I sure hope you found the solution since, but I am posting the answer for other people like me (and you) who need to find it !
The service manual says:
To replace the fuse:
1. Disconnect power at service entrance.
2. Remove filters, bottom panel, light wire harness, and air chute.
The fuse is actually right behind the fan controls, so to access it you need to disassemble everything that's in the way.
BTW, for anyone wondering if it's the fuse that's faulty, here's a clue:
If the fuse has opened (blown), the green fan-level indicators
will operate properly when the fan buttons/switches are pressed
- but the fan and lights will not turn on.
The fuse is a 5 x 20 mm, 10 Amp, Fast-Acting, 125V (min.).
Good luck all !

I have a similar problem with a Whirlpool oven hood. In my case the kitchen fiitters used a (UK) standard 3-pin plug to power the hood. The plug is fitted into a socket that is placed on top of the cupboards that house the hood.
I have replaced the 3 amp fuse in the plug and now the fan is working.
HOwever, the light isn't working and so I'm assuming that the bulb has blown and that this has caused the fuse to blow as well.
Now my problem is accessing the bulb so that I can replace it.
