- blue message light on top of handset keeps flashing even though all messages have been read - have turned the power off taken batteries out but it still keeps flashing

Resetting the New Message LED
If the LED remains on after you’ve retrieved your messages, you may need to reset
the indicators. With the phone is in standby mode, press and hold find handset on
the base until the paging sound stops (about 5 seconds).

go into call lists (centre button up then call lists) and delete the calls in there this will solve the problem

Slide the Nortel Grey Bar above the Hold & Rls buttons to reveal the setup button.

1. Hit that button to show *Options List / # Setup list
2. Press * to go into options.
3. Use the arrow buttons or hit 3 to go into CLEAR MESSAGE WAITING
4. Then hit 3 again to clear the message waiting
