SOURCE: Bialetti will not make coffee

I would check the grind size you are using. Maybe it is ground too thin and the pressure cannot push through.

Also, remove screen and washer and make sure passage to the top is clear.

SOURCE: Bialetti sputtering after gasket replaced

Flame is too high and the top is not screwed tightly enough to the bottom. Also make sure there is enough fine ground coffee in the funnel.

SOURCE: How much coffee?

Fill it as full as you can with fine ground coffee. I cut the resulting brew with an equal amount of boiling water. Called an "Americano" in Italy.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a bialetti mokona,

I do not have this model, but on my old one there was a metal cap that would fit over the coffee receptacle (it diverted the steam from the coffee-making process to the wand to steam milk). Sometimes I would forget to remove that cap before I made coffee again.
Do you have anything like that on this machine?

SOURCE: I was looking for instructions for a Bialetti

Here is the owner's manual. Also, by filling the filter with espresso grounds and using water, you are making espresso. It only becomes cappuccino by adding milk.

Coffee scraper arm sticking

You will need to remove the brewing unit from the base and tip it upside down to inspect/free up the mechanism. While you have it that far replace the seal (barista seal) at the bottom of the brewing chamber that seals the rod on the ejector mechanism. Also inspect the back of that sweeping arm where it runs in a track at the back of the tamping piston ram. A new tamping piston with seals and tank seal would not go astray, all the parts are relatively cheap NZ$40 easily gets the lot.

No water coming down to cups

Assuming that you are certain that there is no scale blocking the brew head and that the pump is running normally, try making a cup with no filter cup installed into the filter handle (obviously with no coffee grounds either) but with the handle installed into the machine

If water now flows, your problem is a blocked filter in the floor of the filter cup, and the easiest and most reliable way to fix that is to purchase a replacement filter cup :o)

Check also that the filter handle's outlet holes are not blocked. The tar like gunk that builds up in the filters and handles can be quite hard to remove

I have a Bialetti mokona and every time I turn it on water leaks from the hub, it seems to go anywhere but through the handle.

Make sure the tank is properly in place. This happened to me.

Give it a wiggle and see if it pops down properly...

I just purchased a Bialetti stainless steel 6-cup stove top espresso maker. I cleaned it, assembled it according to the instructions, and went to brew my first coffee. I didn't grind the coffee too fine,...

There is a valve in the compartment where you place your fresh, cold water. This valve must not be covered as it is necessary in building up steam pressure to push the brewed espresso upwards. Also, most stove espresso makers have a rubber type gasket that is usually placed on the base of the upper part of the maker. Check that you have a gasket.

I just bought the Bialetti Moka Sound 6 cups for 1 day. And it is not sound. What should I do? I have read one said that I have to change the battery at knob but I have no idea to open it at all. Anyway,...

First I'm not a Bialetti tech. But I have worked on may brands of professional espresso machines.
* When you mentioned this stove top model 'sounds off' I just had to check it out. The you tube videos are going nuts over this 'cute' brewer. Especially the Italian tubers.
* I found a link for you to change the battery. It's more obvious on the white cap model. So I'm guessing you have the black knob style (or they changed it to make it more visible.) Cute music but notice all the vids have the steaming louder than the music.

I have just blown the valve on my bialetti cappuccino maker, can I reuse it?

The valve no, it is dangerous. Steam under pressure is a bomb. If you can detach ?unscrew? the old valve and find a new one, it will be fine.
