There are a couple of things to try at this link.
SOURCE: The print quality of my printer is excellent;
It sounds like you need to perform a bottom plate clean on the printer.
If your using XP(other os' mileage may vary, but are similar):
Start
Control Panel
Printers and Faxes
<right click canon printer>
<left click properties>
<left click maintenance tab>
Bottom Plate Clean.

SOURCE: the printer prints uneven lines and wavy lines
Your cartridge might be over flow/blocked by dirty inks... Remove your cartridge and rub the Cartridge head with toilet paper/soft paper neatly and replace again.... thanks
