It will pop up when you register your machine. If it is on the recall, they will send you out a new part to pop in.

On the bottom of the sliding spout assembly is a little tab (remove tray and look w/mirror). Once you depress that with a knife/fingernail/screwdriver, you can pry the cover of that assembly toward you on the bottom. Insert a screwdriver in the resulting slot on the side and carefully slide it up; the curved plastic cover with "BOSCH" on it will pop off. Don't worry, it's pretty flexible PVC.

Now pull on another (newly visible) tab on the bottom of the assembly (use mirror again) to disengage the entire spout mechanism (two black cylinders) which will then hang toward you by the coffee tube only. Carefully disconnect the coffee tube. Now you can wash them out (I do that every 6 months or so).

Best results: Hold one tube and the middle drainhole shut with your fingers and blow water hard into the outflow side of the other one (over the sink, of course). Repeat on other side. Soak unit in hot water w/soap, clean w/high flow, dry. Your view into the unit from the bottom (where the coffee normally comes out) should be unobstructed except for the PVC cross inside the tube.

Everything snaps back together very easily. The hardest part is connecting the coffee tube again, especially if you have big hands...

While you're at it, open the side panel below the bypass doser. On the brew group you can see three little plastic covers that, once pried off with a knife, reveal three 1/4 turn screws marked with an open and closed key symbol. Opening them will enable you to slide the brew group out and give it a good cleaning.

Take a vacuum cleaner with the narrowest attachment and vacuum all the loose coffee grounds out of the machine. Clean the inside as much as you can. Do not reassemble until the brew group is dry, otherwise the wet spots become caked with coffee.

Unscrew the steaming wand by loosening with a coin or knife on the bottom. It disassembles into a rubber holder, the metal wand, and the plastic frothing piece. Soak all three in a glass of hot water with soap. On the frothing piece there are two notches as well as a tiny hole that I usually have to clear with a knife tip. Insert a soapy Q-tip up into the pipe on the machine and "roto-root" it. Repeat with clean/wet Q-tip. If the outside of that pipe is dirty, tie a hot wet paper tower to it for 1/2 hr to soak it off. A Scotchbrite pad or steel wool will do the rest. If you maintain it this way every two weeks or so, it will never get caked up and you'll always have great foam.

Bosch factory support and local support is questionable, so I clean mine every 6 months or so, now that I know how to do it...

How do you descale a bosch coffee maker

Run vinegar thru the coffee maker to remove hard water scale. Make sure you rinse the coffee maker well afterwards by running regular water through it so that your coffee does not taste like vinegar.

Trying to locate a store where to find cleaning tablets for Bosch Benvenuto B30

You did not state geographic area. The part number is 310575

You can order them on line here: (10 pack $12.95)

http://www.partstore.com/Part/Bosch/Bosch/TKA9110UC01FD8110/Bosch/Bosch/310575/New.aspx

also here:

http://www.apwagner.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=654260 ($12.90)

There is a Descaling Maintence Pack 311196 That I would recommend everyone with a good coffee maker should use:
http://www.bosch-eshop.com/eshop/bosch/gb/article311196.htm

This is only on line sources.
