Lg freedom How do I change the ringtone for my contacts? They are all automatically set. I've changed the main ringtone on "settings, sound settings, ringtones" but when I look at the info on each of my contacts, a different ringtone is set. Do I have to manually change the ringtone for each of my contacts?

hi, before applying tone, play it & listen, if it plays sound. Resent ur mobiles master setting & apply now. bye

Go to the ringtone or music and Open Menu then select Set as Ring Tone!

It took me many hours to work it out!
- Menu.
- Settings.
- Phone settings.
- Phone profiles.
- Select (highlight) the one you want &.
- Select OPTIONS with the left soft key.
- Click Edit (1).
- Use the directional key (right) to highlight the New Messages.
- Scroll down to Message Alert.
- Left soft key OPTIONS & select edit (as above).
- Then click the directional key until you hit either Downloaded Music or sounds (depending on where you stored your sound file).
- Select your file.
- Left soft key & select SAVE.
- Then that's it, done!

I would check to make sure you don't have duplicate contacts...
I have had this happen to me before, and after removing the second identical contact, the ringtone worked!

Copy all of your contacts from your smartchip to your phone/handset and it should work fine. Just had the same problem.
