SOURCE: I have set
Woods 7-day timer:
Timer dial is supposed to rotate at all times no matter if override switch is set set to ON or Timer.
Sounds like the timer is broken.

There is a reset button to the left of the on/off button. It's recessed so you'll have to use a ball point pen or paper clip to reset the timer. The clock will flash 12:00 after it's reset. Press the clock button several times to select the day of the week. Then hold down on the clock button (third button on top right) and then twist the dial clockwise to set the hours, then counter-clockwise to set minutes. After the clock is set, press "timer" and do the same thing to set your on/off times. If you only use one timer, make sure the other 5 don't have anything in them.

Just program it as noted previously and put the timer in Auto. Set the clock to 1 min BEFORE your earliest timer program is set to come on. When the clock hits the correct time, it will turn on. Then set the clock to the correct time and you're golden.
