I power up the computer and enter the password but the screen then goes blank
The curser is visible and I can access task manager after pressing Ctrl ,alt ,delete

After logging on there is no desktop, task bar, system tray or side bar. Instead you are left with a totally black screen and a single My Computer Explorer window. Even this window might be minimized making it hard to see. 1. Restart the Computer and login with the login and password that you use.
2. If the black screen appears and there is no icon visible on screen, Press the “ALT + CTRL + DEL” keys on the keyboard together.
3. A windows will appear with option to launch Task Manager, Simply Launch Task Manager.
4. On Task Manager, go to Application Tab and Click on New Task
5. Now type "explorer.exe" in the task window and click run.
Not sure, but try loading Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot and lowering screen resolution. In Safe Mode you can even run System Restore. It load to a previous date that you choose.
to solve your black screen with just cursor
1. disconnect all (external) devices on your netbook
2. remove battery and adapter then press and hold the power button to drain flea power for about a minute
3. put the battery and adapter back in.
4. power on (as soon as you hit power button tap "F8" key)
5. advance boot options>safe mode (after loading still black screen and just cursor: press alt + ctrl + del then access task manager - new task > run > explorer.exe (should bring up your desktop)
6. access system restore under start > accessories > system tools > system restore
7. restore to an earlier time
to solve your re-installation of OS
1. boot to bios by pressing "F2" or "Del" (depending on your manufacturer)
2. once in bios look for restore defaults
3. save and exit
4. boot options under "F12" highlight media drive press enter and continue pressing enter until you see windows loading screen
Wyhen you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode. Then go to start menu ->run type in run "chkdsk /r" then press "y" then restart computer then it fix error on harddisk.Also scan your computer with antivirus in safe mode. If the Windows loading progress bar appears after turning ON the Computer and the Computer goes to the blank screen then perform the under given steps.
Press "CTRL+Shift+ESC" key combination to open the Task Manager window. Next, click on the "Applications" tab and click on the "New Task...." tab located on the bottom of the window. Then type "explorer.exe" and click "OK".
This would bring you back the Desktop icons and the taskbar.
