After about a half hour I finally figured it out. I'll go through all the steps.
1. Remove pusher from chute.
2. Pull the locking bar down over the spout.
3. Remove lid.
4. This part is tricky. Stick the orange crescent tool into the blade holes and while holding the filter basket steady with one hand, turn the blade couterclockwise while pulling up.You do have put a little muscle into it. And remember, if you don't hold the filter steady, the whole damn thing just spins.
5. Remove the receptacle.
Good juicer, but it seems unnecessarily complicated.

I bought the juicer at a second-hand store in brand new condition however the crescent tool was missing. To remove the flat blade for cleaning, I use a pair of scissors spread far enough to fit the ends in both holes. Hold the basket still while turning the scissors counter-clockwise untill the flat blade detaches. Easy as that! I ordered the tool, but it hasn't arrived yet. Hope this helps!

All in the name of health I said a lot of bad words, except that I know I never toss out my owner's manuals. I finally went to find my juicer model number when I noticed that the box said that it came with a recipe book (!) so I ran to my recipe book cupboard and sure enough the owner's manual was with it. (Maybe yours is there..)
Anyway, the key is this "crescent wrench." Doesn't look like a normal crescent wrench at all, but the handle is shaped like a crescent moon. It has two little pegs that stick out and fit into the two holes in the top of the blade, Then it twisted counter-clock-wise, the blade **still screwed into the piece underneath it, then it easily comes out, as do the other parts inside. It was just that rotten little "wrench" piece WHICH, I might add, is unique to my model. If you download the other owner's manual that's online, it doesn't mention any such tool for their model. (sorry, I can't find a model # for mine. There is a "V3 52803" on the back of the manual if that's the model.) Good luck. Hope this helps you. Happy, and healthy juicing.
p.s. in the end...it's all about Jesus.
