LCD display on case not working.

Hello, I recently got a Viper 2, gaming case, and the LCD display on the front, seems to only want to display the same numbers, no matter what.

It says,

Fan 1 - 8880
Fan 2 - 8880
Fan 3 - 8880
Work time - 88:88
CPU - 188

Lots of 8's, eh? Well, looked inside, and all the wires are plugged in, so not sure why it's having this issue. Thanks for the help.

I have the exact same issue. Please post up some solution. All seems connected, and I don't love the idea of rooting around on my MB on a new machine anyway. Ibuypower.com has been predictably useless.

I have one of these cases also. The LCD was covered with a piece of plastic that had fake numbers and whatnot. I had to work at the edge to get a corner up, then once removed all is well.

Did you try to reset the LCD?

Hit + - at the same time.
If that dont work contact manufacturer for replacement.

    or try this:

The numbers you see are NOT because the unit it lit--it is because they are BACKLIT from the fan lights. The power on the LCD is not on.

You need to open the case and make sure that the the PWR LED is connected on the motherboard--should be two wires. Make sure it's connected. If that does not solve it, just reverse the two wires; ie take it off flip it 180 degrees and put it back in.

Where does the black wire on the valet switch for a older model viper 300 12p pin ongl with gray valet wire

Hello Jesse,
I am not sure what kind of a valet switch that you currently have for replacement, however all viper systems use a two wire connector, with one gray wire and one black wire and a blue connector on the end. All this does when you hit the switch is series, or connect the two wires. The brain reads the number of pulses that is receiving the specified timeframe and then completes the command based on the set number of pulses. This connector is a separate 2 pin connector from the 12 pin main harness. This will be located when looking at the 12 pin harness on the right side of the brain.

Will not unlock doors. Battery is good and flashes all lights on transmitter and LED inside vehicle. Remote start will start up and shut down vehicle fine. Just does not lock or unlock doors. Locks work...

Have you changed the battery recently? My remote has a bad habot of slightly misaligning the cel switches if I don't close it exactly right. For my Chrysler van the sliding door switch is affected that way. All else works, though. I end up opening the remote again and ensuring it snaps shut all the way around with just one compression. If an edge doesn't close it's try again. The good news is it's virtually always the remote at issue and nothing expensive in the vehicle.

Samsung SyncMaster 17" LCD Blacks out

If you have a second monitor, you could use your computer until the monitor goes black... then plug in a replacement monitor. My guess is that one will display black too...

My gut feeling is that your VGA card is on the fritz... I'm not convinced it's your monitor. Do you have a replacement VGA card you can try? I'll bet that'll take care of the problem.

Two issues with this system

Hi eshort

When you press the buttons to operate the Cd drawers, do you still feel a click under your fingertip the same as the rest of the buttons. If not, the plastic piece may have broken away from behind the front panel assembly preventing the switches from operating be from the front panel. It may as you have already diagnosed be a part broken off the transport also.Only further investigation will determine this:) Can you still operate the unit from remote control?

The LCD display will use an incandescent lamp to back light it. this lamp will have failed. These are replaceable, the degree of difficulty varies from model to model. Pop the lip off and check if it is easily access. The worst cases need to have the LCD display removed to replace the lamp. Good Luck, thanks for checking with FixYa
