My car radio has to be reset every time the car turns off

I have a panasonic cq-c1101u, bought it used and the previous owners wired it wrong. I the radio will not keep time because every time the car turns off it doesnt give any power to the radio and the clock has to be reset. I've got the radio pulled out and am amazed at the amount of wires behind it. Help please!

I don't know what kind of car that you have but on that radio there should be two power wires one is red and the other is yellow,the red wire connects to the wire in the car that will only have power when the key is turned to the on position,the yellow wire connects to the wire in the car that always has power with the key off.........

U Will have to swapp the yellow cable with the red cable .
Yellow - Red
Red- Yellow
then it shold have constant power , and when u remove the keys the radio still goes off . and the memory will still be saved.

The unit worked fine for a long time. a few days ago i changed cds and when i put the cd in it sounds like it is spinning and then nothing and it ejects the cd..the radio still works on the unit. I just...

Some Panasonic stereo's don't like non shop bought, home burnt discs (they are recorded at a different level) so try new discs plus run a CD laser cleaner through your system.

Not for sure which is the hot and which is the ground wire.

Solid black is always ground on aftermarket head units. Red is usually the ignition wire, ie when you turn your car on, your stereo turns on. Hot or positive is usually yellow and usually the biggest wire

No sound

See if the jeep has the infinity system. If so, make sure you have the blue/white wire from your radio hooked up to the remote turn on of the car harness
