My ice maker won't stop making ice when full

This ice maker has 2 infrared sensors in it that lead back to the board. Either the sensors are faulty or the board is faulty. The sensors can be bypassed if you want but it will over fill with ice.

Ice Maker Doesn't Turn Off If your ice maker keeps making ice, even when it is full:
1Lift the bail wireto shut off the ice maker, and remove the ice bin. Then, using a screwdriver if necessary, remove the ice maker, clean it thoroughly, and then reinstall it.
2If the problem persists,consider removing and replace the entire ice maker and valve. With this type of problem, you can have it repaired, but it's often wiser and less expensive in the long run to replace the unit entirely.

The ice sensor may not be working. You can replace it if you are
comfortable working on this type of equipment. It plugs into the circuit board. The sensor can be found on the web but you can't get it from the distributor of the unit.

Most likely the ice maker has maker has a sensor if its electric the eyes may have become covered over with water deposits that will need to be cleaned refer to the manual for instructions to do this

Is it dumping water or is it pouring water back into the ice bin? if it is pouring water back into ice bin than check your water float to make sure it is not calling for water also make sure the water valve is not letting water seep buy you can cut power to machine and if you here water still entering sump tray then replace water valve. if not then turn machine back on check and see it the water full light is on if so and water is still entering sump tray then replace float switch. If water full light is not on and the sump tray is full of water than remove the water sensor and clean or replace it.

The eye needs to be re aimed at the target directly across the bin. It has to be clean too.

You will need to replace the "ice control thermistor" on the unit. Here is the part to order. The ice control is number 320 on this diagram.

Check bin full sensors make sure that the wires are making good contact on the board and make sure they are working run your hand between them you should see the bin full light come on the board if not replace the bin full sensors. If the light comes on then replace the board.
