ASUS K8S-MX PC powers up but no display on monitor and no error codes. Hard drives spin and sounds as if it is in boot routine

OPEN UR CPU AND OUT UR RAM FROM MOTHERBOARD AND START UR PC WITHOUT RAM IS IT BEEP OR NOT IF IT BEEP THEN CLEAN UR RAM AND RE INSERT IN MOTHER BOARD AND THEN START UR PC IS IT OK
IF NOT THEN PICOUT BATERY CELL 2032 FROM MOTHER BOARD AND THEN START UR PC

IS IT BEEP WITHOUT RAM AND CELL IF YES THEN CLEAN UR RAM AND RE INSERT IN MOTHER BOARD AND THEN START UR PC
IF IT IS OK THEN CHANGE UR BATTERY WITH NEW ONE

IF UR PC BEEP WITHOUT RAM BUT NO DISPLAY WITH RAM THEN CHANGE UR RAM WITH NEW ONE.

Check your jumper settings on the drive. Make sure you 80 gig hard is slave if you want your 500 as master.

what kind of error

try flashing the bios but before you do i need to know what kind of error you are having. it could be a bad disc try putting the driver on a flashdrive downloaded from ASUS first then flash the BIOS if all else fails.

Asus k8s mx mother board problem
To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.

hi jeeva,
to format ur hard disk simple way installed ur window xp/vista from installing the operating system it will be easier to format ur hard disk
steps1;
1) just put bootable windowsin ur cdrom
2) run the set up
3) follow the procedures while installing from there u can format ur hard disk

Asus K8S-MS boot problem..
my understanding is that if you do not have other drives in a raid configuration you do not need the raid driver loaded ,have your hard drive plugged into the first sata slot, then format the hard drive ,instal o/s and all should be good.
