M-audio Keyrig 49 keys dont seem to send out midi signal

My software Reason doesn't seem to pick up midi signal from the key of the keyrig 49, but does from the modulation, pitch bend, and volume knobs.
Tried installing the m-audio driver from their website the specific one for the keyrig 49 and still the same problem, only this time reason detects it from "keyrig 49 driver" not the normal usb.
funny thing is, it used to work perfectly "right out of the box" some months ago then i had some problems with the software and stored the keyrig for a whilee now that i finally have reason again the keyboard wont sound.
im starting to think the hardware might be damaged
any suggestions?

MIDI keyboard is not working an inch

Sounds like a hardware problem. See your dealer, especially if still under warranty.

Axiom 49 not detected by reason 5

Open preferences. Go to Control Surface tab.
Click Add. Select M-Audio as manufacturer.
Choose Axiom 49

Make sure the ports are set right.

Controls IN Port = Axiom 49 Hypercontrol In
Keyboard Port = Axiom 49 USB A In
Controls OUT Port = Axiom 49 Hypercontrol Out

if it hasn't detected yet then restart Reason.
Make sure the power on the Axiom is on.
If you still have issues the USB port on the Axiom could be bad.

M-audio key rig keys dont work but computer still recognizes it

You will most likely find a setting in the manual.
READ ALL EQUIPMENT MANUALS! You guys never give enough detail, like how old is the unit. What happened just prior to the problem.
These are all standard questions that will always be asked by any Technician or Engineer.

Now I get an anoying delay: every time I press a key it doesn't inmediately play the sound. and i get a buzz sound when i press a key too. my pc is windows 7 inspiron 1545

If this is used to generate sounds using your computer, the problem is most certainly in your computer software. Common causes are antivirus and blockers that insist upon processing every bit of data including that from devices like this. The delay to do so is unacceptable as these anti things use mass amount of computer resources. Also if you have a wireless internet link active, that sucks processing time... Turn all of these computer resource "hogs" off and see if the problem goes away...
