White smoke means a coolant leak, check it and repair before to overheating your engine.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Testimonial: "thanx ZJ. :-) Yea I read about some similar situations online yesterday here and other places. I appreciate your opinion and believe your right. i got some block sealer and will carefully follow its instructions. The process is to warm the engine till the heater is blowing warm air with the heater all the way up Only problem is my heater doesnt blow warm air only cold to luke. so ill have to assume its warm over the coarse of a few minutes. then shut the engine off and drain the radiator. then fill it with water again and again till its clear water then drain it empty. then with three quarts of water mix the block seal and dump it in the radiator and turn the car on immeadiately then etc as the instructions say. If this works I just scored a nice car for $800 and my white smokd problem will be gone"

SOURCE: I Have lots of white

Check to see if the coolant level is low, if so you may have coolant going through the motor [ possible head gasket ]. If the level is ok, then you have condesation vaporizing from your exhaust system - some is normal.

White Smoke is coolant in exhaust

Why would you ask if that is normal?

Is that what you see following other vehicles?

Hyundai i10 coldstart problem. Please help

White smoke is an indicator of moisture. All cars will show water vapor at start up as heating up drives moisture out of the exhaust system AND the combustion of fuel produces water vapor. Until things warm up, slight white "smoke" can be seen coming from the exhaust. If there is a lot of smoke, more than a normal car starting up, that could be radiator fluid leaking into the combustion chamber. Is the radiator fluid level going down? If it is, that it could be a gasket leaking.

I have a problem with my bike,I don't know what's going on but there is white smoke from the exhaust so they say I have to buy new stem seals.is that true?

White smoke normally indicates a cracked head or bad head gasket on a water cooled engine. If it's going through a lot of oil, the exhaust is caked up with oil or you see black smoke, it will either be valve stem seals and/or worn rings/cylinder bores. Blue-ish smoke means the engine is running rich.

What does white smoke mean?

I seem to be answering a bunch of your questions today. Really hope they are helping in some way. White smoke can be lots of things. I little white smoke on a cool morning or a cold day when you first start the car is completely normal. Its just condensation inside the exhaust and cylinders themselves burning off. Lots of white smoke or smoking on a continual basis is not normal...and bad. Usually white smoke on a hot day, or white smoke after more than a few minutes of running the engine is a sign of coolant burn off. Most common causes there are either a warped or cracked head, or a bad head gasket. Again, hope that helps. I do hope all of these questions are in regards to a single car...if they are...it really might be time to consider either an engine swap or giving it up to the scrap yard...blue smoke AND white smoke add up to big problems. Both at the same time out of the same engine on a regular basis, really sounds like a cracked head in my opinion. Either way, good luck man!

White smoke comes from tailpies while excelling traffic light.

Is it a lot of white smoke? White/Gray Smoke: White exhaust smoke is an indication that coolant is burning in the combustion chamber. These are possible causes:
Cylinder Head: A crack in the cylinder head (around the coolant jacket) will cause coolant to enter the combustion chamber.

Although for some cars white smoke is normal, as long as it is not super excessive.

I have a nissan sentra eccs with automatic transmission 1993 model, the exhaust is releasing a lot of white smoke, is this normal?

sorry but if you have white smoke coming out your exhaust, most likely you blew a head gasket. antifreeze is leaking into your exhaust and out the tailpipe. check your engine oil dipstick and see if the oil is a milky color. your local auto parts store sells a temp fix for it just ask for a head gasket sealer. good luck

What is causing white smoke coming out of the mufflers when I start the engine?

It's normal for a thin white smoke to come out of the exhaust at initial start up. This is caused from moisture built up in the exhaust burning off. However if there is a continuous flow of thick white smoke it could be a blown head gasket causing coolant to burn.

White smoke coming out of the exhaust when starting the engine?

Its the problem of oil.The oil is getting burned out. The vehicle is either burning oil or it is moisture in the gas chamber if you notice white smoke from the exhaust. This is a common possibility.but in some cases this white smoke is not due to oil burning. In that case   White smoke from the exhaust is a symptom of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Normally this is a sign of a blown head gasket or cracked head. And  this is not a common problem must be repaired immediately. You must STOP driving this vehicle or you will cause serious engine damage. you will have to get both this possibilities checked.
Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

White smoke comes out of ac blowers

White smoke is steam. A little is normal on all engines. If there is a lot it could be an indication of coolant getting into the exhaust, possibly from a failed headgasket.

White smoke comes out tail pipe

Its perfectly normal.Hot exhaust gases mixing with cold air and by products of the combustion process create the watery substance that you see spit out .Dual fuel (LPG,Hydrogen etc) vehicles do this a lot more noticably.By products of the combustion process are various but water vapour is one of them.Alot of heat is generated by the exhaust so watching a car driving in very cold conditions you can see this effect more clearly
