If for some unforseen reason you get an error, or the computer plays up during transfer, it can seriously damage your mp3 / flash drive. I had that problem once and I had to do a hard reset. (similar to a system restore). Unfortunately you will most probably loose all or most of your data on the mp3.

The SONY NWZB135F MP3 Player hangs

I suggest that you reset the Player and try. If the issue persists, you may have to backup all the songs and perform format. Format will delete all the contents in the player and later you can transfer the required songs.
To reset, keep the player on and press the reset button near the strap hole. To format, please select Settings, Common settings and select format. NOTE: take a backup before formatting and also don't format using the computer

Unable to play songs

Double check and ensure that these songs you are trying to play are compatible formats for the Samsung Yepp. This device supports MP3, and WMA formats. This would explain why the songs won't properly load as well as why the device hangs on the file transfer. This is common for it because in the process of file transfer it does "interpreting" this is a process in which the language readable by the computer such as MP3(Windows) is changed to MP3(Samsung) because they can't fit that operating system on their device it has to read it differently. If this did not solve your problem, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can and hopefully resolve your problem =)

Dissapeared songs

My guess is that the crash caused damage to the file system. This corruption may or may not erase the songs, but the only way to recover from such a crash would be to reformat your mp3 player which will result in erasure of all the songs in it. Formatting it will reset it to factory defaults and you should be able to reload your mp3 player and rock on!  Good Luck!

Shows there are no files

Actually, you do not have the same problem - random deletion is caused by DB corruption, and can be solved by updating the player's firmware at www.rcapearl.com

Vhart - The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).

Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

Down loading songs

RCA's website has the software/manual that you need if you lost the CD
Use Windows Media Player to transfer music and delete songs
As far as downloading songs, you can sign up for a wide number of music services - each one has a different download method, and the company website will explain how to use it. The problem with this RCA player is that it was tied to Yahoo!'s Musicmatch Jukebox svc, which was cancelled in October 2007, so you will have to find another music service. Some music services will recognize the RCA player directly, and you can use their svc to download the songs directly to your player. Other services you will have to download the songs first, and then transfer them to the RCA using Windows Media Player afterwards.

Auto deleting songs we wanted there argghhhhh!

If you are using Windows Media Player to synchronise the MP3 player, you need to change the Sync settings, from auto to manual.

If the Sync option is set to Automatic, then Windows Media Player will synchronise your PC and your player, so they have the same tracks. Unfortunately, if a track is deleted from the PC or the MP3 player, then Media Player will delete it from the other.
However, Media Player may have only deleted the tracks from its library, and not from the PC. If you go to My Documents ----> My Music, you can see if the files are still there.

The Manual sync setting allows you to drag and drop files from the Media Player library on to your player as you wish.

Assuming you are using Media Player, connect the MP3 player to the PC.

Open Windows Media Player.

Right-click the Sync tab and select Tools -----> Options.

Click on the Devices tab and select your player from the list then click properties.

In the window that pops up, click on settings, then click the button next to manual to change from auto.

Click on Finish, then close the other windows by clicking on Apply or Ok, until you are back to the main Media Player screen.

You should now be able to transfer your tracks manually.

If this doesn't work, give more details, including make and model of player, and the software you are using for transfer, and I'll try to help further.

Songs Not Loading On Player

Did you use Windows Media Player to format?

WMP never does a thorough format.

If so, try formatting thru My Computer. Right Click on the Device (e260) and select FORMAT.

Then try transferring your music again.

Best of Luck.
