Hi, This may be due to one or two things. The remote and the box should have P+ and P- buttons. If the box operates ok but the remote doesn't the remote buttons are causing what is called switch bounce and needs replacing but if the box and remote jumps channels they are not the cause but programming and memory retention of the PVR.
Make sure the pvr is not recording anything first as this may inhibit some channels from showing. go to the update page and make sure that the box is fully updated. Another reason could be the aerial not giving strong enough signals for some of the multiplexed stations. To check this select the channel number rather than using P + or P-.
If the channel does not show it could be signal related or moved to another number and not updated. Tim

SOURCE: sd pvr remote

it sounds like the remote needs to be re-programmed to work with the device. the 2 blinking dots illistrates that it is looking for a device to operate.

Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

I am having problems programing my Maxent MX50X3 TV to our Direct TV system.

Hi, Your Direct TV system runs on channel 3 or 4 on the Maxent HDTV and the decoder box(PVR) works all the channels. So you might not be able to program your HDTV. Good luck.

Our Shaw cable box,Pace PVR,continously BLANKS out for no reason,When it does the guide on the tv says to be anounced for a minute or more! Changing the channel or hitting the channel guide up usually sets...

I have had the same problem and I spoke to a tech at one of the tv repair shops in Edmonton. He says it is a long standing generic problem that Shaw is having with the HDMI connection between the pvr and tv's, I have a pvr replaced twice and the problem remains. The last Shaw tech says to use component cables and it will solve the problem which I believe is an admission that the problem identified by the tv tech is true. Doesn't help with 4 hdmi.and two component inputs

Split screen

Yes I get the same problem with my Sony XBR and its Pace PVR.
The problem seems related to using HDMI interconnects; viewing the PVR through component leads allows the TV to switch modes easily, otherwise I have to turn the tv off and then back on again.
