Its a great pleasure to own a portable MP3 audio video player. You can carry your songs and favourite videos everywhere you go. Here, I am providing few tips on how to use your Philips MP3 player.
If you have an older version, you can simply use drag and drop method to transfer music from your computer to your MP3 player. You can also use Windows media player 11 to transfer music. Here is a link:
www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/howto/mp11/sync.aspx If the songs are DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected, please use Rhapsody to transfer them. You can refer to this link:
www.rhapsody.com/mac_faqAll new players use Philips Songbird software. You need to transfer the video and audio files using Philips songbird. You can also use drag and drop method for the audio files which are in MP3 format. You need to transfer the Videos to the Songbird library and then transfer them to your player. You can install Songbird from the CD that came in the box, or download it from Philips support site.
Here is how to Rip CD using songbird:
Insert the CD into your computer and launch Songbird.
Once the CD is detected, it will automatically show up on the Philips Songbird screen.
Click the "Rip CD" on the right hand side and the ripping process will begin.
You need to transfer the Videos to the Songbird library and then transfer them to your player. Here is how to transfer files from songbird to your MP3 player:
1. Click "File" in the toolbar and select "Import Media". Choose the folder that stored your media files.
2. Select the media files that you want to transfer and then Right Click to display a drop list (You can press and hold the Ctrl button on the keyboard to select more than one file).
3. Select "Add to Device" and "(Your player model)".
Or you need to go to Songbird library and then drag and drop the files to your MP3 player's icon on the Songbird software.
Cheers...
