Cant get filter box back in after cleaning it

It could be a simple thing like the intake filters need to be cleaned.
There is 1 or 2.
Pull out dishwasher.
Turn off the water supply and undo the hose at the tap and see if there is a filter in there and clean it.
Also undo the hose at machine end and look where the hose fits and see if there is also a filter on the inside of the pertruding thread. Clean out this filter.
make sure hose is tight both ends and push machine back in making sure hose is not kinked.

These get tight if not opened regularly. Get a large spanner or vice grips adn wrap in a towel to avoid cracking the filter. If you can unscrew it but cant remove it, there's something in there stopping it ie bra wire. The pump is removable from underneath (unplug first). A bit technical but very do able).

If the filter is on top it is in the back, remove back panal, if the filter is inside the door remove the front panal under the door

the fuel filter is under the passanger side in front of the back wheel, now there is a fuel relay in the fuse box on the passanger side its maked socket "n" for a quick look there are 2 rubber hindges holding your glover box up push them back towards the fire wall your glove box should drop down, on the right of the glove box you should be able to see the fuse box the relay is in the centre row and is usely gray.

depends if yours has the flat panal filter or the round type both can be changed for a k&n performance filter wear you never ever replace it again only clean and re-oil at every service
the round type is on the front lower side pass side 3 spring back clips hold the front cover on
the panal filter is squire and has 3 or 4 spring back clips just lift the lid and change

i do not think there any oyher way . it a chore

Assuming the filter is at the front of washer, you need to keep trying to pull it out,and then push it back in, wiggling it about at the same time, having unscrewed it anti- clockwise first..
Just keep on doing this, as there is probably something stuck in the filter, which is preventing it coming out.
The worst that can happen is you break the filter, so it might be a good idea to have a spare one handy, just in case.

You need a torx wrench. Screws are on the bottom and back of front fender.

stale smell may be due to using liquid detergent - change to powder.

filter may be of two types. if in the front, unscrew cap and just pull. may be difficult is a foreign object like a bra wire is stuck inside.
other type of filter is in the large diameter pipe from bottom of machine to pump. take off small back bottom panel and undo this pipe at the machine end and filter is inside this pipe. pull out and clean

Below the door, there's a plastic cover several inches tall, full machine width. Just remove it and on the right you'll see the filter. Make sure machine is unplugged. Unscrew the filter counter clockwise, clean it, check the pump blades and inlet for some foreign objects and screw filter back on.
