SOURCE: I was given an edu science astrolon 525 power

You can buy a diagonal and finder-scope from many on-line retailers. You may need a .965 inch diagonal. Measure the hole in the back end of the telescope.

Diagonals are made in 3 sizes.... .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes.

Here are two retailers-

Bushnell 78-9003 telescope purchased at yard sale with no eyepiece. Where can I purchase one that will fit? It talks about a .965 inch eyepiece.

.965 eyepieces are readily available on ebay. A meade 25mm MA (modified achromat) is about $10 plus shipping This will give you 700mm/25mm= 28x power. Avoid any eyepiece marked with a H (Huygens) as they have terrible field of view.
.965 is not a popular size anymore and Bushnell does not make very good telescopes. Don't get frustrated, if you are still interested, buy a Meade, Celestron, Orion quality telescope.

How can I order a tripod for the edu science astrolon 525?

You cannot -- parts are not available for this small imported telescope. You might be able to find a regular photo camera tripod that would work.

Need to know how to put together the astrolon telescope 525 power

There are 3 types of telescopes --- see this web site:

http://texasastro.org/telescope.php

and two types of mounts--

Altitude- Azimuth and Equatorial
http://texasastro.org/mounts.php

You must be more specific as to the type and the mount.

Was given a edu science telescope but it did come with the 6X 25mm Finderscope With Crosshairs it was the only pice missing. know where i can get one?

You can buy a finder scope at several online retailers here is one. The problem is that the finder scopes may cost more than you paid for that toy telescope which is sold by Toys R Us!

Here is one retailer:

Instruction manual for the astrolon telescope 525

You are about the 10th person to ask for this. These are being sold at Toys R Us and the "toy" really applies to this scope. If you can return it and buy this telescope for your child.
http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=classicdobs/~pcategory=dobsonians/~product_id=09804

and no you cannot buy a usable scope for less than $200. No manual exists for your telescope, however Meade maintains a web site of manuals for all their telescopes. Look under the REFRACTOR heading on the below web site for one similar to your telescope. They all assemble about the same way, and Meade includes a section in the back of all manuals on how to use the telescope.

This one is similar to your telescope.

Cannot see anything out of main telescope

Do NOT use the barlow lens-- put the lowest magnification eyepiece into the scope-- practice focusing on the moon -- turn the focus knob slowly in and out until you get a sharp image.

Telescopes only show an area of sky about 1 degree wide or LESS--- this is about the size of the TIP of your finger held at arms length................ your scope is best used at low magnification.
