The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent
between the freezer and fridge. the fan in the freezer blows air through
it.there is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control.
Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust
the
fridge temp. try to chec in the user guide.
What is most likely your problem is the crushed ice solenoid. This solenoid, which is located next to the auger motor behind the ice bucket, is failing to actuate when you request cubed ice. Its "home" setting is crushed, and actuates to allow cubes past the crushing mechanism in the bucket. To be certain its the problem, remove the ice bucket, and tape the door light switch in the closed position. actuate the ice dispenser lever, for both cubed and crushed ice. you will see a square hole next to the rotating fork, when you select cubes, it should open. If it does open, there is something wrong with your ice bucket, perhaps the arm is broken, or the door inside bucket is off its snap in type hinge or broken altogether. If it doesnt open, replace the solenoid
The ice maker unit give the command to the water valve to relese water for a short time. you cna check with volt meter on the water volve that got the pip go to the ice maker unit if it getting 120V for short time when the fingers of the ice maker making full round. if you get 120v the problem is the valve (the ice maker and the water have difrent water path so its difrent valve used) if you dont get 120v or the fingers of the ice maker not turning then its your ice maker unit need to be replace.
I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
Problems not related. The first is most likely the fan, or possibly water dripping on to the fan and freezing, but usually the noise comes from the fan struggling to run. The cube problem could be as simple as the ice dispenser being put back in wrong. There is a metal lever under the ice tray that switches between crushed and cubed. Make sure it is seated properly.
You have a solenoid switch which switches the
dispenser back and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working
or the parts connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to
observe to see if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the
solenoid
Ice cubes freeze from the outside, so the center of the cube is the last to freeze. Ice is pure water, only H 2 O, so as the ice cube freezes, all of the dissolved minerals are pushed to the center. Near the end of the freezing, there isn't much water left in the center of the cube, so these minerals become very concentrated, and they form the "white stuff" – the technical name is precipitate. The hardness minerals that cause the "white stuff" are not toxic.
Are your ice cubes to big or in the dispenser door not opening all the way both can be fixed adjust the flow timer on the ice maker or replace the door dispenser
