Can print and copy but cannot scan

The readme says that some USB hubs have an issue.

I was having problems and was connected via a hub. I removed the hub and connected the printer directly to the back of the PC and voila scanning is all good.

You said the printer works, but does it work from windows sending it to the printer.
If it does, then there could be a few problems. You should start by looking at you printer under start-printer, you should see the printer and should show your model. I would make sure that the software
you installed for the printer was for the OS you are running Xp,vista and try to reinstall it.
Because of the one error you listed, driver failed. Most times you can just reinstall it again,and when it goes to the folder just have it overwrite the folder. If running vista, turn off UAC when installing drivers.

Then unplug the printer and plug it back in after you restarted the system from the install, and windows will see the printer.

Now maybe someone had the same problem that can give you better advise so just wait. But you can at least shut down your pc, unplug your printer, restart the system,plug in the printer and try it again,and if the problem remains, hopefully someone else posted or try your software install. Hope you get it working.

Ok but its saying to check your usb cable and you need to check if both the pc and this scanner is plugged in with this usb cable and that the scanner has it's power plugged in too.

It could also mean that you did not properly install the drive or the drive is old and you need to replace it or update it.


Please let me know what happens after ok?

i got a same prob..i can't print,scan and copy and the refill warning always appeared..i hv refill the cartridge and i shut it down and try again and again..it's the cartridge prob or the printer prob..?
