Jenn-Air JED8345 one burner does not come on

Jenn-Air JED8345 (3 cartridge cooktop unit) far right front burner does not heat but back burner works okay. The light turns on when swtich is for the far right burner is turned on but element does not work. I swtiched the right and far right cartridges and the problem is not the cartridge (the far right cartridge works fine when installed in the right slot and the right cartridge front burner does not work when installed in the far right slot).

SOURCE: knob not working and some burners not heating

The switch under that knob is bad.  It's called an infinite switch.  As far as the elements go, first thing to check is for proper voltage (220) to the cooktop.  Let me know what you find.

SOURCE: Jenn-Air Gas Cooktop Model CVGX2423

Just had this problem today on our seven or eight year old Jenn-Air cooktop. When using the front right burner all ignitors would continue to fire until I turned off the burner. The three other burners worked correctly. After trying all the obvious soulutions w/o success I pulled off that burners control knob and the rubber seal which exposed the valve. Their was a bunch of crud in there. I put a small (one inch) paint brush in there and vigorusly loosened all the crud. I then inserted the nozzle of our central vac - which just happened to fit perfectly - and sucked all the stuff out. I repeated the proceedure a couple more times, reassembled the knob and started the burner. Worked just perfectly!!! YMMV. Good luck.

SOURCE: jenn air jed 8430 electric cooktop control switch for rear burner

The cook top is attached to the wood frame by brackets, just remove the screws and the electric connection, make sure the power is off from the main box, it's a 220 volt wiring and then just lift the top off. to remove the glass, look around the edges and you should see some small screws, just remove them and the glass should lift off.

SOURCE: Gas Jenn Air Cooktop Issue with Electric Starter

Did you spill water near/on knobs? if so leave to dry out for 24 hours. If still clicking after 24 hours one of the switches has shorted out and needs to be replaced. You can find which one with a multi meter/condinuity test. Hope this helps...Good Luck

Jen Air left front small burner does not heat up.

these are cartridge elements corrrect? try reversing the cartidges, now the front small will become the rear small . does it not work in this position? and the newly placed front burner work?? this will determine if the proble lies within the cartridge or the switches
