Self timers on Canon cameras can be accessed from the operations menu. in most cases, the times are pre-programmed - e.g, 5 sec, 10 sec etc.

SOURCE: I can't figure out how to set the self timer from

For the SX 110 IS 9 mp camera: With the camera in picture taking mode, Hold the bottom of the roller dial down at the point closet to the timer icon. Hold it for a couple seconds, then the screen will display the timer settings. Select the setting you want and start taking pictures.

SOURCE: how do i set the timer on my canon powershot a560

There's a button with a clock next to it. Press that button and put your camera where you want it. Press the shutter release half way, to get focused. When you press it the whole way down, the timer will start and you will have 8-10 seconds. There is normally a burst of a few flashes when it takes the picture.

SOURCE: LCD screen not working

Hello

Ok, you should know that there is a cable which connects the lcd monoitor to the circuitboard of the camera itself. it could be that the cable is just slightly pulled out.

I know that there is a setting as well which enables you to use either the viewfinder or the lcd. Look for a button which looks like a screen with a star in it, this will either activate the lcd or the viewfinder.

At the link below you will be able to download the manual for this camera for further troubleshooting.

Hope this can be helpfull.

Kind regards
Andrea

SOURCE: how do you unlock the memory card on a canon powershot SX10is?

Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny switch on the side of the card to its other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera. But if you've already tried this, see this link for additional things that you can try.

SOURCE: where can we buy a broken lense on a canon

You want a broken lens or a replacement lens? Try: camerasandparts.com since they stock all of the powershot parts. They're amazing if you need help with one of these, I believe you can even have them install the lens if need be and they service the powershots too. Good luck, that's the place if you need help with a powershot, that's all they specialize in. Best of luck

Canon sx10is does not power on after changing the battery door. new batteries worked fine prior

The battery terminals may be corroded or oily. Try cleaning them as best you can with a pencil eraser, or better yet with an ink eraser.

Wait - this is after replacing the battery DOOR? Did the door come with the proper terminals, exactly identical to the old door?

Press the Disp button near the bottom right of the LCD display housing.

You may need to press it twice to switch the display back to the LCD from the Viewfinder.
