Are the lines white (no toner is printing on that area) or black (too much toner is printed on that area)? In the first case, you might have dirt on the developing unit, the best bet is to replace the developer and before cleaning the developing unit. If the second case is you case, you might have a broken drum (scratches on the green drum that you'll see while the right door is open) or the charging unit might be dirty; in these two cases, you should replace the drum unit. The same black lines appears if the fusing roller is scratched, in this case you should replace it. Just drop us an email at [email protected] and we'll assist you further.

First is this a problem with just one draw? Move to a different draw. lets eliminate the draws and or the by pass tray. Does this happen when using the Document feeder. Place the original on the big glass does it happen then? Secondly have you the correct size paper are you using metric size paper and the machine thinks it is inch size paper. Have to let the copier know what country it is in. Does this happen when you print or when you copy? Check the guides in all the paper draws they have to be snug up against the paper

When printing photos especially A4 size my printer leaves white dotted lines across the photo

This is caused by the paper feed wheels (small spiked metal wheels to draw the paper through the printer.) Unfortunately, there is no way I know of to fix this, but you could try using different types of photo paper.

The prints show horizontal lines offset.

Do you have a copy of a drawing and a photo of the resultant print that you can send to me at [email protected] as there could be several reasons for this. Also what software are you using on the iMac?

Two lines show on my 5x7 prints

If the machine has mainly printed 6x4,When you
go to print 7x5 the edges of the head and rollers
tend to be dirty and will leave the two stripes along
the edge of the prints.Use the cleaning ribbon and the
sticky pad supplied with a new box of paper to clean the machine.Depending on how bad it is it may take a few try's.To do this switch the machine on and enter the control panel by tapping twice on the top left of the monitor- It will ask for a four digit code - Uless it has been changed this will be 9999 click
Enter/Ok - then click on the top far right ikon and
the screen you see will have a greyed out ikon
bottom middle - Now replace the print ribbon with
the white cleaning ribbon supplied with the machine
and the greyed out button becomes active - Click on
this button and the machine asks if you want to clean
it click Enter/Ok - About 10" of paper will then be
driven from the machine place the sticky pad as per
the drawing on it onto the paper and press Enter/Ok
- The paper will move in and out a few time and then eject a big piece and some small pieces of paper - Then remove the white cleaner ribbon and replace with the print ribbon and press the green return button
in the bottom right of the screen to return to normal use. This should be performed every two - three boxes
of paper.
