"Fatal error during java installation" while trying to uninstall jdk from control panel- Add or remove programs
go into Control PanelAdd/Remove Programs and scroll down to remove Java from my system. I click remove and it comes up with the window "Add or Remove Programs: Are you sure you want to remove Java(TM) 6 Update 13 from your computer".
I click yes and it says "Preparing to remove"
then configuring java.. and then come up with the window:"Fatal Error During Installation"
I've tried enabling logging.. it didn't work.. so that's all the info I can give, I have two HD's mounted.. if that helps.. I don't know. I tried using the install again.. it didn't work believe it or not . Anyway please help
This is usually because of MS installer problem, try to update your installer
1.Remove the previous version of Java installed on your computer by selecting "Start->Control
Panel->Add/Remove Programs" from your computer's Start menu. Then,
choose the Java program in the program listing and select the remove icon.

Uninstall Quicktime from the Add/Remove Programs menu after Java is
uninstalled. In past versions of Quicktime, it has been known to interfere with
new Java JDK installations.
3.Download
JDK 1.5 from the link listed in the Resources section of this article.
4.Choose
the installer program after download is complete and choose the default menu
options displayed by the installer to install the JDK to your computer. Restart
your computer after installation is complete and you will have JDK 1.5
installed on your computer.
