New LED tv will not pick up digital channels

Refer its user manual, and make sure that the TV can receive digital transmissions. Refer its specification page. If it says, yes, and the TV doesn't receive any digital channels, contact the authorized service center. Its digital tuner is likely to be faulty. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Can't get my westinghouse tv to recognize dish network

Happy to help get that fixed right away!

You mentioned that your TV is not recognizing the DISH Network signal, since wedo not know how many TV's your receiver is able to support, or whether it's theTV1 or TV2 having the issue I will address them both.

The first thing we want to do is ensure that all connected components arepowered on (VCR, DVD Player, etc.). Check what channel or input your TV iscurrently on by powering the TV off then back on and noting the channel orinput that appears on screen when the TV is powered on.

If TV1:

Check what type of cable is used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you areusing a Coax Cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver'sback panel for the output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4Out" (non-ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4,if it has "Home Distribution" output (ViP Receiver): Tune TVto channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, orHDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until pictureappears; most TVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or"Source" button. If the issue persists, check that theconnections between your DISH receiver and your TV are secure then reset thereceiver by unplugging it from the outlet for 10 seconds then plugging it backin. If not fixed then connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to thesame TV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. Ifit works with the other component then call us at 1-800-333-DISH (3474) foradditional troubleshooting, if it still doesn't work with the other componentthen the cable should be replaced.

If TV2:

Access "Modulator Setup" from TV1 by pressing the menu button(on the top left of DISH remote) then pressing the numbers 6-1-5. Tune TV2 tothe channel that appears under "TV2 Out" on screen. If stillno picture, verify the mode (air or cable) that TV2 is on. Then change themodulator setup to match this mode (air or cable). After changing modulatorsetup, tune TV2 to the channel that appears under "TV2 Out" onscreen. Check that the connections between your DISH receiver and your TV aresecure then reset the receiver by unplugging it from the outlet for 10 secondsthen plugging it back in. If not fixed then connect another component (VCR, DVDPlayer, etc.) to the same TV, using same cable, same input, and same channel tosee if it works. If it works with the other component then call us at1-800-333-DISH (3474) for additional troubleshooting, if it still doesn't workwith the other component then the cable should be replaced.

I have a blue screen with a no signal on my tv with dish network how do i fix this

Hi. This is Phil with DISH Network. Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the video, lets get that fixed. There are some thing we want to check first. Let's first make sure that both the TV, receiver, and everything in between, are powered on. Then we want to find out which channel your TV is on, this can be done by turning the TV off then back on again. If your TV is connected by a coax cable, for receivers with a TV1 output on the back panel: Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4 so that picture appears. For receivers with a Home Distribution output on the back panel (the TV without the receiver by it, or TV2) tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If non-coax, cycle through TV inputs until picture appears. These steps usually fix that issue; if they don't then check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure. If the issue is only on one receiver, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in, wait for the receiver to turn on by itself, usually withing 5 mins, and the picture should come in after that. If you have any follow up questions let me know.

I forgot my code to unlock channels

This is an easy fix if you are the account holder or authorized user. Call Dish and ask them to reset it for you and they will send a signal to the receiver that resets it. However you may need to re-lock channels as it sometimes wipes the record clean. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

When I turn on my tv today I have this message from Dish Network: your smart card does not currently have authorization to view or order this program. Please wait or channel up or down. I just had this...

I have had similar problem, all you can do is call dish net and explain to them what has happened. They can usually send information through there satellite to your receiver to correct this problem. Your card has not received the authorization codes for your service, Each card has a unique ID that dish net can address from there satellite.

When changing channels, the TV goes black for several seconds

It's a "Bug" in the firmware version 1.2 which is what your receiver uses. Be thankful you have audio and video 100% (even with a delay) The current version 1.3b is functional 100% of the time (so far) The HDMI issue you have can be fixed by a service center authorized by Yamaha under warranty ( if it still is) and they will upgrade the board and software to work with all the current versions. Out of warranty; it's a pricey ordeal. It's not Yamaha's fault or that of any other manufacturer which provides HDMI switching. It's the ongoing battle between the recording industry, and the consumer demand for "choice" It's a "Copyright" issue... Anyway, if it's still under warranty you can send it out free of charge and get it fixed. Otherwise, run your cable directly to the TV with HDMI and use digital coaxial for audio to your receiver. If you need more info, google "HDMI forums" and you can get the whole scoop from all sides involved. Hope this helps

Bad main right channel ( no out put at all )

I had the same issue with this same receiver. Unfortunately this is a known problem with this receiver and Yamaha knows about it. The usual fix is to have the input RCA connections in the back replaced to some updated ones. What has happened is that there is a shirt created using the current RCA input jacks and it is actually turning the internal amplifier off to that particular channel or channels. My local stereo shop ( who is a Yamaha authorized service center) knew about this and replaced mine to the tune of $200.00. Good luck

I need an owners manual for the receiver

What channels on what satellite? You should always start with sat G1 channel 3 and rehit. This will map in all the channels the receiver is authorized to get from Motorola.Options 6 5 and the trip counter should go up by 5 and show ~ 4600 channels
After that you need to make sure you are good on the arc. Start with G-1 5 (analog) then go east about 20 counts to C3 channel 7 On both G1-5 and C3-7 you may need to adjust the skew to get the picture.
The same is true for digital channels like those on G3C like TNT, CNN, SPIKE etc.
Once you know you are on the satellite then adjust the skew.

Cannot get new dish to work

You need to call Dish and have them authorize the new receiver. They may send you a new smart card depending on the receiver. Also, if there is an outstanding balance on the one you were given, they likely won't authorize it.
