Check and make sure that the hose leading out of the dryer is clean and clear. Clogs will make the dryer not work to its full potential. Also make sure that the heating element is not going out on the dryer.

check to see if the fans are loose if so replace them this will also cause poor drying time.iI find its better to dismanttle these dryers and check the rollers,belt and jockey pulley at the same time.they look hard to work on but they are easy just take you time theres generally no wires to undo.

Sounds like the belt has broken or come off. This is usually inexpensive to fix. You just need to get it out in the open to replace.

I have Samsung gas dryer model DV410. no heat, replaced two thermal fuse and hi low limit. Now it only works with timed cycle mode. the rest mode, it runs only for least the 5 minutes and shut off.
timed cycle mean dryer not on sensor dry mode. check wire connection on moisture sensor bars (i think you forget to put 2 wire connector put together). when you use other cycle dryer use moisture sensor to dry cloths so sensor not working dryer will stop in 5 minutes or so because dryer think there are no wet cloths to dry. hope this help you.

Dryer Dry Time Appears to Jump or Stall During Auto Dry Cycles
The operation of dryers during the Auto Dry Cycles is based on the moisture content of the clothes as they cycle over the moisture sensor. At the start of the cycle, the default estimated time is displayed depending on the cycle selected. The moisture sensor feeds information to the control based on the "wetness' of the clothes during the first 5 minutes of the cycle. The control then calculates and display a new estimated time making the time appear to "jump".

Recalculation happens again based on the reduction in the "wetness" of the clothes when the Estimated Time Remaining is between 15 to 5 minutes. The control will extend the cycle and display the Estimated Time Remaining unchanged if it "sees" no significant reduction in the wetness level of the clothes. The dryer will run longer than initially projected and give the appearance that the displayed time has "stalled".

Clean the sensor bars for any films or dirt build up to make sure it sends accurate information to the control. Level the dryer front to back and side to side to ensure the clothing will tumble properly and making good and proper contact with the moisture sensor bars. Check the dryer vent duct for any restriction to ensure a good air flow as the operation of the Auto Dry Cycles is based primarily on the air flow condition.

It is highly recommended to clean the lint filter before every load and make sure the dryer is grounded at the wall plug.

Your dryer has a moisture sensor, if it senses that the clothes aren't dry enough it will extend the cycle. A couple easy things to check:

1. Be sure the spin cycle on your washing machine is working properly. If the clothes are too wet when you add them to the dryer your dryer will need to add more time to get the clothes dry

2. Be sure your lint filter is cleaned after each load, and have your dryer exhaust vent cleaned- it could be clogged.

If this is a vented dryer then check all the filters in the machine also check the vent hose is not blocked on the machine in the hose itself and where the pipe goes out of the wall.If it is a condenser dryer the filters need checking and the condenser box in the base of the machine.If none of this is successful then it could be a fault with the heater or the programmer.

sounds like an air flow problem meaning the dryer is not exhausting the hot air. Best way to check is to disconnect exhaust tubing from dryer and run a cycle. If the clothes dry normally the vent to the outside is plugged. Hope this helps

I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?

I have this for you to read this should get you on the right track. Let me know how it went.
It seems to run forever If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system. Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle: The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees. When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.) The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again. This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

A damaged timer motor will affect the nature of the drying cycle. It is the main initiator of all functions during the selected cycle.

UN-ending Auto dry cycle
This is caused by the dryer vent being blocked and not allowing the moist air to be removed from the dryer. To confirm this. Dry a load of close in a timed dry setting. Set the time on a specific time and then start the dryer. Wait for about 5 min. See if the timer has moved. If it has then the problem is not the timer. It is the exhaust vent being plugged up somewhere. Moisture how the auto dry setting works. The dryer sences moisture and runs longer to dry your clothes. With the dryer exhaust vent blocked, wet moist air is comming back into the dryer and fooling the sensor into believing the close are not dry and runs for a very long time. It is not uncommon for this problem to cause a dryer to never shut off. Your dryer exhaust vent is plugged up with lint somewhere.

LG DLG2532 Gas Dryer will only dry on manual setting
If you use dryer sheets, LG recommends no.  Dryer sheets cause a film that will not allow the sensors to feel the clothes moisture during the drying process thereby causing the computer to countdown the timer quickly.  To clean out the sensors, use a green pad and scrub the sensor bars inside the dryer drum.  That should remove the film left by the dryer sheets.
