Menu display icons not ok

When powered the startup screen is ok but the menu icons is not clear it comes up with lines and each icon comes up with more overlapping icon.Sellecting any one of the icon gives the normal result,i.e function is ok.

My problem is I do not know what to do bring back the menu icon to normal.

I have tried reset, tried formatin, try restore with restore software but no success.
I read an article which relate it to "theme file".

Please help me to solve this menu icon problem.

My computer is on and has a blank page and it will not let me get to startup

What do you mean blank page? And what is startup? Is startup the desktop with your icons? Tell exactly what happens and what you see when you power on the computer.

Maybe you are saying your system booted up all the way except your screen is blank. If so try the steps below.

Shine a flashlight on the dark screen to see if you barely see the icons on the desktop. If so, then the LCD Inverter is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If you see no icons by shinning a flash light and the external monitor works, then your screen is bad. If you see no icons by shinning the flash light and nothing shows on the external monitor, then most likely your video card is bad.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M52 Displays limited tray icons on startup.

I was going to say get to a the task manager by CTRL+ALT+DEL and in the upper left hand corner of the window click File then new task (RUN). Type in explorer.exe and hit ok. This normally brings back your task bar, start menu and desktop icons.

If you can't run it, then you definitely have a virus blocking it. Run a virus scan.

Error is coming E000002

Error E000002

Press the the " additional functions" button, then the numbers 2 and 8 simaltaneously, and then the additional functions button.

This will bring a new screen with several icons. Press "Coppier".

This will bring several more icons to view. At the top of the screen press "Function" and then "Clear" at this point a new icon will display "ERR". Press it and then "OK"

This should make the coppier recover from its critical error.

Disconnect the machine from the power source for 30 Seconds and power it up. If the reeor returns it will within 5 Minutes or so. If it doesn't, it is now OK, until the next time that is.

Hope this helps.

How do i change the language

Ok here go's, I am not sure what screen you have as your home screen, but most people would select the map screen, so assuming you have the map screen on startup Tap the screen to enter the main menu, then on the bottom line of icons you should see a cog icon, this is change preferences click it, now continue to click on the arrow until you arrive at the change languages icon which is expressed by 3 flags
click it and select your language then click yes or ok and exit, if this works keep this safe. Good luck.

Icons and start upmenu bar absent

explorer.exe is what displays the icons and the startup bar on the screen so try opening explorer.exe from the task manager. Or if it is already running close it and then reopen it.

It takes my PC a very long time to boot up, what can i do?

If you have installed any softwares recently it might slow down the pc as many softwares will install a startup file in order to start faster. You can shut these programs from starting up when the pc starts.
I put 2 steps to resolve this in order of simplicity.

Remove icons from the Startup folder
Some programs open with a shortcut icon in the startup folder (Startup icons). Use the following steps to show any startup icons that might be hidden and remove startup icons from the startup folder:
NOTE: Removing items from the Startup folder does not uninstall the software program.
1. Right-click the Start button, and click Explore . The Windows Explorer window displays with Start Menu already selected.
2. Click the plus sign ( + ) next to Programs .
3. Click Startup . The shortcut icons are listed in the right pane of the window.
4. To show any hidden icons, click Tools , click Folder Options , and click the View tab.
5. Click Show hidden files and folders (Windows XP/ME) or Show all files (Windows 98), and click OK .
6. Click an unwanted startup item in the right pane of the window and drag it to a blank area on the Windows desktop. Release the mouse button to drop the icon onto the desktop.
7. Continue dragging unwanted icons until all unwanted startup icons are on the desktop. Click Yes to any window that display asking to confirm the removal of a read-only file.
8. Close Windows Explorer and restart the computer for the changes to take effect. Delete the startup icons that were moved to the desktop after you are satisfied with the way the software programs are working.
If you find that a particular software program should not have been removed from the Startup folder, double-click the startup menu item to open the Startup window. Then drag the icon from the desktop back into the Startup window.
