Unfortunately you will need to use vinegar. The acetic acid in vinegar is strong enough to clean most brewing machines.

Use distilled white vinegar.

SOURCE: Keurig starts & stops without brewing coffee, just descaled

The pic is clogged with coffee or the air bladder is bad. Use the tool on the underside of the tray to clean out pic. If that doesn't work, the bladder will be bad.

SOURCE: How do I clean my B60 Keurig of scale

Empty the water...
start with half distilled water... half white vinegar...
just run it all day... take a break and let the vinegar work... it will be heated up in the main tank... then pushed out to all hoses and sensors etc.etc...

enpty the container... wash it out... fill it with filtered or distilled water and run that until you no longer taste/smell the vinegar...
consider buying a brita pitcher and use that water for your Keurig... I do... and my unit goes for a long long time before it needs a vinegar washing...

P.S. dont use C.L.R. :(
It tastes bad.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/lisa_52daba487e5b4d53

Testimonial: "Thanks so much for the help. I already use Brita filtered water, so it's good to know I'm on the right track!"

I have a K 40. It has the descaling light on so I did what was recommended with the paper clip. The unit will not cycle water.

It might be time to clean your keurig. Fill the water tank with vinegar and run through about 5-6 glasses leaving time in between to let the vinegar clean. After running all of the vinegar through it should be brewing regularly again.

The descale light keeps blinking, what should I do?

The 'Descale' light that turns on indicates that it is time to de-scale the machine.
Scale - or mineral deposits- form from the water you run through your Keurig coffee machine. If not cleaned regularly, the buildup can clog the lines in your machine and ruin the heating element. The manufacturer recommends you descale Keurig coffee makers once every six months for normal water conditions and once every three months if you live in an area with hard water.
You will need :
  • Keurig coffee maker
  • 48 oz. white distilled vinegar
  • Water
  • Large ceramic cup
  • Sink

Instructions :
  • 1 Unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.
  • 2 Turn the coffee machine upside down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of the plug and avoid getting it wet.
  • 3 Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.
  • 4 Place a ceramic cup under the machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is empty.
  • 5 Remove the final cup of vinegar and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit for four hours, remaining on.
  • Good luck ;)

Not enough water making it from holding tank to dispensing cup

    your machine is "Short Cupping"

It needs to be descaled. Even though the descale light might not be on yet, the descale light only comes on when it is in SERIOUS need of a descaling. You should descale once every 3 months.

Fill reservoir with distilled white vinegar and leave the machine on for 4 hours (make sure to turn off the auto off option).

after 4 hours, run the vinegar through the machine until the reservoir is empty. Refill with water and repeat twice. you will notice a difference right when you start running vinegar through.

    Descale solution?

Clorox is a basic chemical -- what you need is an acidic chemical to dissove the lime. White vinegar will work, but nothing works very well (not even descaling chemicals), you'll have to treat it several times.
