That small gizmo is called CROWN or WINDING CROWN. It is not possible to obtain it online, so, you have to shop around for it. Find your nearest watchmakers shop and ask for replacement. You may need stem as well.

It seems unlikely that there is any built in function that would cause the symptoms that you describe but it could be something simple like the hand being loose on its shaft.

Yor local jeweler should be able to fix that sort of thing.

Swiss Legend 10542-05-BB Men's Trimix Diver Chronograph Watch Red what number of battery do I need?

You are wanting to know battery type, not number. Take your Swiss Legend watch to a jeweler who will show you the correct way to open it and replace the battery.

I have Swiss legend challenger and it's new. How do you get the second hand moving.

Sorry...

New or not SWISS use the second hand as an early indicator of the battery state.

My memory is that it starts by skipping seconds...
Then the second hand stops...
Then the watch...

ELSE
The movement is bad.

If it is INDEED NEW... Take it back & get
yourself a fresh one.

How do I set the day of the week dial on my Swiss Legend Chronograph?

If the day will not change when you pull the crown out to the first position (try both directions) then pull the crown out to the second position. Advance the hands until yesterday shows in the day window. Now set the date by putting the crown in the first position and set it to yesterdays date. Now advance the hands (position 2 until the date and day change and then set the time. Done

Swiss g10-211 movement doesnt keep time runs when it wants to

This movement wasn't meant to be repaired, so replacement is your only option. These pop up new on eBay from time to time for around $30 shipped. Make sure you get one with the date in the correct orientation/position (e.g. date at 3 o'clock or date at 4 o'clock). Best to enlist the services of a watchmaker if you haven't removed and replaced hands on a watch before (particularly a chronograph).
