After professional battery replacement in my Casio Wave Ceptor WVA-105H (2735), they did not replace seal properly. I went in swimming pool and the watch leaked and ceased to operate. I opened it, removed battery, and put watch in warm oven until all obvious water had evaporated. Replaced the battery, did the "short" operation, and the watch miraculously came back to life. I carefully replaced the back cover and manually reset all the functions. Was thrilled until about 1&1/2 hour later, when watch simply stopped and digital window went blank. Opened the back, did the "shorting" procedure again and watch came back alive again, but only for a few hours. Have repeated this procedure 4 times and it always comes 100% back to life, but just for 1 - 2 hours. Any idea what might cause this to happen? Is it repairable?
Try a new battery. When water got in there it may have shorted the battery and drained it. It may work for a short time and then die. Also put the watch on you car dashboard in the sun to bake it instead of the oven unless you have an electric oven. For electric oven use a thermometer to get temp of 140 F then turn the oven off and put the watch in for an hour.
