I checked all of the easy thing. ie circuit breaker not tripped, plugged something else into microwave outlet and it ran, plugged microwave into another outlet and it did not work. It's not the wall power. I removed the control panel, removed all of the connections, cleaned with an eraser and compressed air Then I put it back together, the clock, light and exhaust fan worked. I then pressed the 30 second button to start the microwave. It hummed briefly and then went dead (everything lights, fan, microwave, display). Like an internal fuse blew. Help!
Sounds like the main fuse blew. It's either near where the power cord enters the cabinet, or behind the control panel (if an over the range unit).
You may also have some type of failure in the high voltage circuit; based on your description of the symptoms.

You may have a blown internal fuse. You''ll need to unplug the unit, remove the outside cover and follow the line cord and you should find the fuse.
Replace it with the EXACT same value that was labeled on the original fuse. You'll probably be able to find a replacement at any Radio Shack store or hardware store.
Replace the cover and plug the unit back in. Hopefully nothing was damaged and the unit will play again.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.
Good luck!

SOURCE: No power
It
may be the fuse, which is usually located behind the grille or on the
floor of the oven behind the control panel, between the door switches, or inside near where the cord goes into the chassis.
If
the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout (TCO)
/ thermal fuse on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body
of the oven.
Or another common problem, is surge damage on the control circuit board. We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

It could have been steam or humidity.
If this is an over the range model, be sure you always use the hood vent exhaust fan when you're cooking on the stove top.
Whether it's a counter top or over the range top, always be aware that the cooling fan is running when it's cooking.
When in doubt feel for air flow through the vents.
Good luck.
